Demons. Afraid or not?
by punkofnice inwhen i was a jobot i had the fear of demons rammed down my throat.. now i am without any faith, i don't have that fear because it seems irrational.
a fairy tale from the minds of some weirdo.. now i don't have to worry about buying stuff 2nd hand.. it always amused me how some jobots would pooh pooh charity (goodwill to my american cousins), shops or 2nd hand shops in case demons inhabited a jumper or a chest of drawers.
yet at the same time they'd buy a 2nd hand car.

I think( I only think) there is good and evil in everything. It is hard to say if demons are here or not since I have not had any contact with any. Except my evil ex mother in -law could be said to be the devil in human form. If your fear the dark than expect to be attacked.

If Ever GB Members Deserved To Be Thrown in Jail It's When ...
by smiddy3 init was when the governing body started to disfellow-ship jehovah`s witnesses from taking blood transfusions in an effort to save their lives .. resulting in many hundreds if not thousands of needless deaths of men women and children who by this coercion died from this doctrine.. and to this day they still go unpunished .

Watchtower Study on 5th December.
by Lost in the fog inthe wt study for this week is all about disfellowshipping.
in an early paragraph it said "think how heartbroken jehovah must have been when members of his own angelic family turned their back on him!".
however when you think about it, when this happened according to the wt teaching, jehovah still engaged with satan in the heavens (book of job) and had conversations with him about what was going on in the earth.. so why do the wt org practice shunning when jehovah god obviously didn't?.

When I was living at home with my parents. My parents told me to do Watchtower stuff as longer as I live under their roof. Basically, fake it to make it till I'm out on my own. Now 30 years later, they want me to "Return to Gee-hober " because the world is so bad and we are so close to the end. More like the Org is loosing numbers and Donations.

Overrated
Longhairgal- I was told by a " Pioneer " that I was materialistic for having a career. But he wanted deep discounts when his junket car needed repairs by me. Just unbelievable! I would help people from time to time, but some wanted a free bee. Then, I would hire some of them and they would turn out to be the most laziest workers ever, but they wanted to be paid good wages. And very flakey about attendance. I prefer to hire "Worldly " people. Less stress. -

Overrated
Longhairgal- The Frowning of higher education and pursuing high paying jobs only to spend their time and energy, resources on Watchtower to recruit more suckers. I don't feel sorry for them. No one supported me. What I wanted to do was looked down upon as weak. And now these spiritual superstars come to me for a handout. Where is this Gee-hovah to help them?

What about the many prayers of those of Holocaust? God is real selective on who he answers or maybe he was in the can those months.

Did your congregation have cliques?
by Lost in the fog indid your congregation have cliques?.
usually centred around two competing elders (or the elder's wife).
it could made obvious by whether you got to answer in the wt study.

Longhairgal- It was hard for me to fade since I was a born in. I had to wear a mask and do alot of fake stuff to get by. Buying my time till I got on my own and out. I never liked those self righteous people anyway. No great lost for me when I faded.
