Why a JW family member is traumatic to non JW?

i was raised in a very religiously strict christian home, and have been presbyterian or baptist my whole life.

i have heard nothing but bad things about the jw's.

just recently i have gotten very interested in in learning more about jw, and possibly becoming one.

I was raised in a very religiously strict Christian home, and have been Presbyterian or Baptist my whole life. I have heard nothing but bad things about the JW's. Just recently I have gotten very interested in in learning more about JW, and possibly becoming one. I'm seeing things in my Bible in a way I've never seen them before. I only dread my husband and family finding out. They will freak, because they won't understand. They will be genuinely terrified for my eternal outcome. Why is this? We serve the same God, and live by the same Bible... What is the huge deal to them about JW?

X-JWs Who are now bible Christians

hi folks,.

i'm just sort of taking role call to all those x-dubs who are now brothers and sisters in christ.

i think it is wise for us to rise up and be counted so that we know who each other are.

Hello to all,
I am new on this site. I have been a Christian (presbyterian or baptist) all of my 26 years. I come from a very religious family. I've had a very close JW friend for 4 years. He never pushed anything religious on me, nor I to him. But in the last week or so, I have gotten a very strong interest to learn more about JW. He is talking to me, and showing me things in my own Bible that I never even noticed before. How can being a JW be so bad in people's eyes? We still serve the same God, and try to live by the Bible. It can't be that different can it?
