It all depends I guess, it is hard to say, I definitely would not put myself in harms way to help them, not worth it from my perspective, the best that I could do would be to call the police on my iPhone. Even calling the police is a great big iffy for me.

If you saw a governing body member being pummeled would you help them?

think about how they could care less how many families are broken up just to retain their power.
how they could care less if members are driven to suicide because of the deep programming and severe depression or strained family situations.. how they would rather let members die in order to retain their power and refuse to acknowledge their faulty bible reasoning regarding blood.. i could go on and on and on.

Are Witnesses advised not to get into discussion’s about evolution with HH?
by Diogenesister injust before the last memorial, i finally had a witness call with an invite ( i say finally because i haven’t seen anyone in the d 2 d preaching work for going on 5 years!)..
i wasn’t particularly prepared ( it being early and me still in my nightie!
) but i managed to collect myself and said i didn’t think i wanted to go since i discovered the scandal around the un.....and i outlined the facts.. jw: oh no i don’t think so, where on earth did you read that?.

The "Fact" of evolution is undeniable, JWs wisely avoid debating the subject with those that have gotten a higher education as they are ill equipped by the Watchtower corporation's selective information indoctrination/studies on the subject.
The cognitive dissonance caused by a discussion with some one worldly that has a higher education on the facts of evolution with some one indoctrinated to believe it is false would be almost unbearable and be cut short by the JW because of how uncomfortable he was feeling.
It is even painful for me to watch a JW trying to argue against evolution because I can still feel a twinge CD, even though I'm no longer a believer in the biblical deity.

I've never been much of a patriot I was 10 years old when JFK was assassinated looking back to that age you might say the public schools indoctrination didn't make that much of a impression on me. Vietnam war I didn't want to go luckily I got reclassified 1H(by the draft lottery) and didn't have to go.
I respect the government that I live under the same as I would if I was from another country but no real deep patriotism. Reading 'Man Without A Country' in 10th grade didn't phase me in the least.

I'm sure there is no universal magic thing that can break the Watchtower's spell upon its mesmerized victims.
If there was one it would be great. I think the way things are going with all the public scandal and lawsuits the WT is facing and paying out, the sale of many kingdom halls is causing many to come out of this spell which should increase in magnitude as times go on. The Watchtower propaganda hey days are long gone it's all down hill from here and they will keep on downsizing till they can't downsize no more, depending on the stupidity or this lost in the fog Governing Body to ride Jehovah's Chariot into the sun for a crash burn finale.
Nature running its course I'd say 50% losses in membership support in the next few years perhaps becoming exponential and no longer linearly losses after that point. I hope soon that only people left will be very old timers with no place left to go so they just barely hang on. Nobody's really interested in their dooms day message, cart work is a huge joke no signs of growth anywhere on the globe. They are threw, they are just in too much denial to come to terms with the idea so keep printing these worthless tracts and screwy paper back books that nobody in their right minds ever gonna read.

It’s so much better when we choose to enjoy life. Life is short let’s make the most of what we have left and not dwell on the past.
Being in the now, and living in harmony with the Tao. Is a way to accept reality and live in harmony with what is without any mental resistance. I prefer to call it being more whole or at peace with one's self and enjoying the life you have left. It's my ideal to which I strive. Being in the moment cannot be permanent and is lost when lots of activity is happening in the brains DMN ( Ego,)(default mode network) is active(not being in the now). Being in the now and having one's DMN activity lessened the whole brain lights up because this network acts as a restrictor valve on brain activity the more active it gets. This is all on FMRI scans:

I think deep down there might be a bit of self hatred instilled in us through constant repetition of I'm a good for nothing slave in the gospels as the supposed words of JC. Not to mention all emphasis on our sinning bodies the scripture cry out as Jehovah tramples them to death. So I would say any religion that capitalizes on a supposed end date for rebellious mankind gotta sow a lot of negativity into your psyche. They of course are not the only cause of negativity a lot of which we might learn in childhood. I'm glad many here are coping. I think a good psychoanalysis can help one to route out such negativity if it seems to be a problem.

You are right about that. Even having sex with my wife at the time made me feel guilty, and greatly diminished my even lusting after her. The Watchtower corporation's indoctrination made me feel guilty of any sexual thought that wasn't in line with corporation indoctrination. It repressed my sex drive into my unconscious which I have been un-repressing for about 20+ years now and all I can say is,,,, it is getting better and better every day .
Hey how about a lawsuit suing them over loss of sex drive or something?
