  If you're not an elite or a politician you better have a way of protecting yourself - they aren't going to protect you. No one needs serious firearms but one needs protection.
  

  I haven't had to protect myself from physical violence since 17 I'm 66 now. Threats of violence are rare for me here in the US. I think this whole gun for protection thing just appeals to people unjustified fears and gives them a measure of false security.

  They need to make stricter laws and limits as to how much fire power a person can have, get rid of the mega clips and automatic military type weapons. The right to bare arms was written when all they had was flintlocks and black powder surely this was not what our early father had in mind when they wrote the constitution.

  Boy is fake news really is hitting on Trump's speech in El Paso where he's was pushing his anti immigrant(Mexican) propaganda, calling them basically all crooks except for a small minority which he acknowledges might be good people(begrudgingly) listening to some of these recorded speeches was shocking to me I didn't know he was such a Xenophobe, and am changing my mind, I think he is partly responsible for this currant rise in gun violence. He needs to make a complete turn around in his campaigning rhetoric, it is poisonous especially to weak minds.

  His speeches have been outrageous and at times remind me of Hitler, they sorta have that tone.

  I do think America needs to rethink its gun laws. I'm not saying this is a solution but we come a long way since when these laws where were made hundreds of years ago. There has got to be a way to stop the frequency of these shootings.

  Where does Trump stand on gun law revisions? After all this gun violence He should make some type of statements about our gun easy access to all kinds of people if you ask me.

  I just looked up after writing above that Trump unsigned some of Obama's executive actions on gun control. But I wonder if these circumstances will make him change.

  When you are the only true religion on earth that Jehovah has seen fit to use to announce to the world he's taking over by force, and that people need to join it and get baptized into it to be saved from a destruction that could happen anytime now,, you don't allow any debates because it will only cause confusion for the captive members and might start them thinking independently.

  Seriously,,, the Governing Body don't debate they Listen & Obey, they don't question or research for facts, they accept all present Watchtower Corporation truths as printed never a debate they are all everyone of them corporation Yes Men who believe tons of fucked up shit to keep hold on to their positions.

  Why would a bunch of uneducated corporate CEOs want to be found out(become public knowledge) how they vet a person to be a GB CEO like them. That's something you don't want the world or your members know.

  simply report once or twice in a 24 hour period that it happened and stick to the basic facts (time place number of casualties) and refrain from showing video and playing up the emotional reaction of those who witnessed the event.

  Unenforceable and against most news outlet agendas and let's not forget this biggie the 1st Amendment "Freedom of the press".

  I think some of these news agencies get carried away and are trying to blame Trump for every thing under the sun. I also think Trump kind of set the pace for a lot of these agencies by calling them all fake.

  That being said let's see what they uncover about the shooters motives and then we can have a more informed discussion about whether or not Trump's rhetoric bares some responsibility in motivating these mass shootings. In any event let us hope the Prez can read the gravity of this situation and refrain from outrageous tweets for a time till things settle down. That's behaving responsibly if you ask me.

  What worries me is that with all these mass shootings we might have more by copy cat killing encouraged by these being so close back to back.

  I don't think so. The news media is making it a big deal and are more then ready to blame Trump. I see his responsibility as minimal. I will say this though that I think his black and white thinking about immigrants needs to be toned down because it is fanning the flames nationalistic extremism. As Prez he has a responsibility to set a good example for the people of US and I don't think he is doing a very good job with all his attacks on people like Cummings and the 4 congress women.

  The compartmentalization thingy that the Governing Body go through to make it to the top of the heap of company men got to be very severe and intense leading to brain shrinkage, severe cases of denial, a huge Shadow full of all sorts repressed desires. It seems they are helplessly driven by a unconscious self hatred to deny the real conditions the Corporation is facing. Expect more and more blunders by these nutty bunch of buffoons steering Jehovah's Chariot.

  I think like all people who have given their all to the Organization they have a great deal of tunnel vision(reality tunnel) and have a very hard facing the facts of the reality they are in(positive thinking at it's worst). I still am coming to terms with facing reality and facts I don't like. Brutal honesty is painful and we tend to not dwell on unpleasant facts. It is amazing how much we miss when guided by wishful and black and white thinking.

  The government is interested in all this data too. I mean you can't really expect them not to be, I'm sure they like to feed that data through some supercomputer AI to extrapolate the data useful to them.
