Not much a historian about Obama sad to say but he seemed like a pretty nice fellow I'm sure he had his fault and weaknesses just like most men, and I don't think he was near as xenophobic as our currant Prez. and in that I thought he set a pretty good example for the nation.

That's my observation of his speeches they in my mind sound intensely xenophobic, in fact I haven't actually read the media saying this it is my own view.
He has clearly expressed this xenophobia to a recent crowd of supporters in Florida where a attendee shouted shoot the immigrants and he took no steps to correct such a xenophobic statement.

I sure hope Trump rises to the occasion when nation is depending on him or at least the Trumpers are and I hope he takes much needed measures to prevent this from reoccurring on his watch, he won't get reelected if the frequency does not lessen substantially. I think Trump knows that lets hope and pray.

Great point! Amen and Amen! Seriously the government needs to take care better of those that put their life on the line for the government. They need more research on PTS and help these guys re intergrate into society and lead a normal life as possible.

Do you think it would be prudent if the Prez takes to heart the seriousness of the situation and tone down his what I consider xenophobic rhetoric? I mean I think he needs to be a man and needs to seriously think about how some of his fear mongering speeches might be leading some of these weak minded people over the edge. I know it may be hard for him to do but the situation calls for some clarity on his part and back off on the immigrant rhetoric.
We all have our weakness as men and we have a image of ourselves it may cause us to not see what other people see about ourselves. Recognizing some of our darker nature is hard to do but sometimes situations force us to see ourselves in a truer light and make some serious changes and that is what I'm hoping for myself and other men like me, get to know your shadow come to terms with it and do something better a moment of clarity when it all comes together.

no mentions of the blood ban, no mothers refusing to take phone calls from her estranged daughter, no bunkers, etc.... just lots of "warm and fuzzy" videos featuring loads of hugging and tears at places across the globe.

Those previous conventions were a big embarrassment when shown on YouTube or other media especially with narrative commentary, those bunker videos really gave the Watchtower Corporation a sinister cult look that play heavily on fear to keep the member obedient when viewed by a worldy unindoctrinated audience and no doubt scared away a lot of new bible studies.

If you're not an elite or a politician you better have a way of protecting yourself - they aren't going to protect you. No one needs serious firearms but one needs protection.
I haven't had to protect myself from physical violence since 17 I'm 66 now. Threats of violence are rare for me here in the US. I think this whole gun for protection thing just appeals to people unjustified fears and gives them a measure of false security.
They need to make stricter laws and limits as to how much fire power a person can have, get rid of the mega clips and automatic military type weapons. The right to bare arms was written when all they had was flintlocks and black powder surely this was not what our early father had in mind when they wrote the constitution.

Boy is fake news really is hitting on Trump's speech in El Paso where he's was pushing his anti immigrant(Mexican) propaganda, calling them basically all crooks except for a small minority which he acknowledges might be good people(begrudgingly) listening to some of these recorded speeches was shocking to me I didn't know he was such a Xenophobe, and am changing my mind, I think he is partly responsible for this currant rise in gun violence. He needs to make a complete turn around in his campaigning rhetoric, it is poisonous especially to weak minds.
His speeches have been outrageous and at times remind me of Hitler, they sorta have that tone.
