  My Sister

  after being so close to getting a clue about the "truth",my oldest sister is way back in it, deeper than ever.. i love claire dearly, and i know that in her way, she loves me too.. i believe the problem in our relationship lies in that when it all comes down to it, at the end of the day, we don't really like each other very much anymore.

  this knowledge saddens me more than i can explain.. it wasn't always this way.. we did fight a lot as children.

  perhaps it's the eight year age difference.

  Hi Es,

  The whole situation is so sad.

  There have been times when she was having real doubts about the Organization. When I saw glimmers of hope that she might get free from it. She said things like "Is it my fault that Armageddon hasn't come and we've all been had?" and then later outright denied she ever said them.

  Because of the doubts and what your sister said, there is a good chance that she'll come around. I pray that she doesn't let years pass before she does. We can't go back and replace lost years with family.

  i was reading the other day about a man who thought he would indulge himself by going to the barber shop and have a haircut and shave.

  the barber was a preacher and he had been called out so his wife grace said she would give him a haircut and shave in her husbands absence.

  both political and religious true believers often distinguish themselves by their limitless arrogance towards people who dare hold different opinions from them.

  every thing has to be done on their terms; people who think differently cant expect to have the same rights as those who consider themselves true believers.

  like amazing, i, too, just saw farkel's h 20 post about the plusses of this forum and have decided to move camp or switch horses in mid-stream.

  there is only room for one jw forum in my life, and after scanning the list of familiarly warm and fuzzy names here today, i feel like i've come home.. thank you again to farkel, surely, our own marquis de sade of anti-watchtower words.
