Letter of thanks to the GOVERNING BODY

dear beloved governing body members at bethel .

i wanted to thank you for the fine job you all have been doing,,,,,,,you know, like dropping crumbs off the table to feed us your spiritual table scraps, and beating us, bearing us down with heavy loads, so many rules and regulations that nobody can follow...... .

you all look nice in your suits and ties, reminds me of how fine the pharisses dressed with their long fringed garments.

Hi Fruitcake,

I can feel your frustration and it's truly justifiable! The GB bear SO MANY traits of the Pharisees along with their fine suits. have you ever noticed how the crowd at assemblies act when a GB member walk on the stage too? I was todl that they applaud and applaud and applaud and applaud and then try to touch the GB member's hand wehn he gets down off the stage at the end of the assembly! They have a hell of a nerve talking about the reception the Catholics give the Pope, all the while they do the same thing to GB members!

I'm glad you no longer swallow the swill the WT Society INC. where feeding you.

That same song has stuck in my mind for more than 20 years of being out/free.

When a JW came to my door a little over a year ago and was practically running backwards down my walkway when I started in on him ( I do regret how I handled the situation ), I really was tempted to tell him to get back on my doorstep and speak out in fearlessness instead of running away.

Imagine being afraid of a weaker vessel like myself!

Elders will be here in 10 minutes...pray for me

elders will be doing a shepharding call in 10 minutes...why we have not attended meetings in so long.

i want nothing to do with the organization anymore....pray for me that i can keep my strength against them!

Just to add something to what willy_think said, you can go to any Mormon site and Ex-Mormon support site and read how many people have been excommunicated/disfellwshipped for apostasy. You and your husband might be COMPLETELY amazed by the similarities of the JW congregations rules and behavior and the congreagtions of Mormons rules and behavior. Even their a lot of their teachings are the same as JWs. They even use the teerm "worldly" in the same way as the JW sect does!

I know it is as you said, mouthy. That the hardest to forgive is yourselves. I also believe what else you said that God forgives you all. You all have my deepest heartfelt sympathy and I can empathize with you. I only pray that you can somehow find it in your hearts to forgive yourselves and truly accept that you were not responsible simply because you DID NOT KNOW that it is a cult at the time you directed people into it. I pray that you don't suffer anymore mouthy. And just think of the WONDERFUL messages you've given to people since you've left! I heard you address a crowd somewhere on the net ( I don't rmember what site it was downloadable from ) and your honest and true thougths were TRULY heartwarming to others. That includes myself very much.

My purpose in becoming a member of the Jehovah's Witness organization in 2002 was to have access to "informative, educational, and factual information with inspiring and awakening topics".* I had been using the Wathtower and AWAKE! magazines for many years prior to 2002, but in that year it became neccessary to become a member to have continued access to their libraries.( no more mail-in subscriptions and have to be a member to gain access to the extensive library Wathtower CD- Roms).

I am glad to provide the above comments in answer to your inquiry.

I never started a bible studies either. I did place magazines too. But most of them I was placing it the trash can in the ladies rooms at the coffee shops we stopped at for coffee breaks. this way, I wasn't lying when I reported how many magazines I had "placed". I would simply wrinkle up paper towels to through on top of them in the trash can in order to hide them in case anyone in my "group" went to the ladies room after I did. I guess it was my own theocractic warfare. Only I didn't know it at the time. Could it have been Jehovah's spirit upon me? back then I was throwing them away only because I was forced to "report" how many magazines I placed. I was extememly shy at the time and absoletely hated going out in service. I did not look at it as a "privilege". I looked at it as it really was. I was forced agaist my will to do it, by my parents. Until I was legally free to make my own decisions, I had to follow my parent's rules.

I understand what you are saying to a certain degree, nightworrior. And I am thankful that I never raked anyone into the sect. I feel bad for those who have who now see that it is a cult. But I certainly think only God knows what was in their hearts at the time and they obviously weren't aware of what they were directing people into. they are not to blame as far as I'm concered. Their leaders/teachers are responsible. That being the WBTS.

"CHURCH MESSENGERS" HELP AROUSE INTEREST
...After the third visit, the husband disclosed the reason for his initial interest: "You know, I read a short article on Jehovah's Witnesses in the Church Messenger. It said that if two young people come to your door, well dressed, tactful, and with the Bible interpretation of their religion, you should not listen to them; just tell them you have your own church, and your minister teaches you all these things, and then close the door. But you see, I am a free man and want to examine things myself. That's why I listened to you."....
This young couple progressed well, began attending meetings, and soon were sharing in the field service. They also symbolized their dedication to Jehovah. It was the Church Messenger that had directed their attention toward the truth!

My Daughter, Deanna Marie Dupont

today, my daughter turns 35. i've been thinking about her a lot the last couple of days, thinking about the blizzard my biker friend drove me through (in his car) to get me to the hospital so i could deliver her there.

i'm thinking about how little she was and seemed so angry to be coming into this world.

i'm thinking how i would give anything to hold her in my arms and tell her i love her.. deanna, i think that it's unlikely that you would even come to a board like this.
