i am a dfshipped person who is working towards reinstatement.. i would like to meet anyone else who also would like to return.. i really would prefer not to meet people who want to criticize my desire to return.

Hi Logical. I realize who the Bible says will do the judging. I was trying to show DFshipped that. He said that Jehovah judges. I was showing him that is not what the Bible says. Jesus also said in Matthew 28:18 that all authority in heaven and on earth was given to him by Jehovah, after he was resurrected. I was never taught the same good news that the Bible teaches when I was a JW. I was taught a different "good news". And I also was taught that Jehovah will judge us someday. That just isn't true if you read the Bible. It's very clear who will be doing the judging.

As I said in another post, and here , I am supportive of the WBTS and of the decision to DF me. I know what I need to do to get back, and I am doing it. I never-theless would enjoy communicating with like minded people. Two of whom I have met on this db.

So I appreciate there is nothing anyone can do to help me at this point but talking to like minded people is encouraging.

I noticed that you mention the WBTS and how you love it and are supportive of it. I noticed too, that you never mentioned Jehovah. In what way do you think DFing has to do with God and if you think that it does, what would you have to do for God to "get back in" good standing with him? In your opinion, is being forgiven for your sin by the WBTS the same thing as being forgiven by God?

Hi everybody!

I was raised Catholic, Protesant, and then JW at the age of 8. I walked away when I was 18.

I'm married ( shoot me ,dammit! ) and I have 2 kids. I have a 19 year old son in his second year of college ( future pharmacist ) and a daughter how will turn 17 shorly and a junior in high school. Two great kids they are. I keep waiting for something to go wrong like it's supposed to with teens but nothing has yet! ( knocking on wood )

'Deaden your body members'

i recently read a post on the net regarding how often men think about sex.

i started to think about how often i did.

i followed this up with a survey on antoher site and found i ranked low and they told me i had sexual problems.

The book of Collosians is a letter written by Paul to the CHURCH of Colosse .
I've read Collosians 3:1-11. Verse 5 was the one that states to deaden your body members that are on earth as regards to fornication,uncleanness, sexual appetite, etc. Actually, I've read from chapter 2..verse 20...up to 3:11. I still have the understanding that it's ( congregation) "members" make up the body. The way I see it...it has to. The WTBTS used the scripture to say that according to God's word, it's wrong to masturbate. They were trying to insinuate that "members" means sexual organs. Verse 2 and 3 are very improtant here. It explains what "deaden" means in verse 5. I think the point Paul was making is to teach the members of the church about the importance of having morals, sexually.
