df'ing in absentia...

i was wondering... can the elders df you in absentia if you haven't admitted to doing anything wrong??.

my ex wanted his scriptural grounds for a divorce and i told him he had them.

he went to the elders with this info and they called me up last night to try and get me to confess ( which i didn't- i told them it was none of thier business) they told me that they were having a judicial for me wed at 7, and i said i wouldn't be there.

If the accused repeatedly fails to come to the hearing,
the committee will proceed with the hearing but will not

witnesses are considered.
The committee should not take action against a person
unless the evidence clearly proves this necessary.
Failure to appear before the committee is not in itself

What kind of evidence is acceptable?
There must be two or three eyewitnesses, not just persons
repeating what they have heard; no action can be taken if

1st door-to-door?

the society tries very hard to present the idea that the door-to-door work was essentially the same in the 1st century as now.

the rendering of 'door to door' in ac5:42 creates that impression.

so do the talks that discuss the missionary efforts then in modern terms (eg "paul was making a return visit here on an interested one") philo's hospitality question earlier shows that we have all been a bit taken in by this.. wt covers like this (4/1/01) sure help too:.

What's wrong w/JW's?

i would sincerely like to know what is so wrong with jehovah's witnesses.

i invite anyone to post here.

please use facts not personal opinions.. i am not interested in dates, the blood issue, nor the disfellowshipping issue since i am conviced that these do not prove that they are wrong.. i am weighing in to see if you as an opposer of jehovah's witnesses have the facts or not.

It's not what is WRONG with Jehovah's Witnesses. It's what IS WITH Jehovah's Witnesses.

I am weighing in to see if you as an opposer of Jehovah's Witnesses have the facts or not.

I will be back with FACTS that Jehovah's Witnesses have not God with them, but the MEN who govern them. The MEN are called the Governing Body. By who are the they called the Governing Body? By their followeres, Jehovah's Witnesses. Not by any Bible character or disciple, or apostle in God's word. I'll be back with those facts. For now though, here's some FACTS:

"The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society INC"....NEVER mentioned in the Bible.
"Jehovah's Organization"...NEVER mentioned in the Bible.
"Jehovah's Witnesses"....NEVER mentioned in the Bible.
"Jehovah's visible organization"...NEVER mentioned in the Bible.
The "Society" with a capital S....never mentioned in the Bible.
"Circuit overseers"..NEVER mentioned in the Bible.

And all the rest of the clergy-like titles that JWS have are NEVER mentioned in the Bible either.

I've just noted just a few FACTS that wre WITH Jehovah's Witnesses/WBTS Witnesses.

I'll be back with plenty more FACTS right from Jehovah's WItnesses. All quoted from the fecal matter published by the WBTS's organization, and people who follow the MEN that make the rules for it all.

PS.......stephenw20....glad to see you back and LOVE reading your opinions and thoughts. They are very well balanced and I find that I agree with them. (and I'm not just saying that to be nice ) I really mean it.
