  Physical Appearance since leaving the JW's

  i was never baptised when i attended the kingdom hall so i went to the meetings with sholder length hair (with my jw parents).

  one time i had been approached by the elders concerning this matter.

  they asked me if i planned to cut my hair and progress in the truth and get baptised.

  kick off your boots, come and sit a spell.. listen to me worry, come and listen well.. all you better best come and lean in boys.. i don't dare raise my voice.. i've been sitting here for the longest time .

  Jail vs. dicipline

  i was about 16 at the time.i can't remember what i did wrong; of course every thing i did was wrong at that time according to my parents.

  i think i was caught riding a neighbor kids skateboard.. any way,i believe the punishment was to get my ass beat or get locked out of the house.

  a week before my dad was comming home from work and caught me doing the same thing; he jumped out of the truck and violently threw me in it {the truck} then proceeded to elbow me in the nose which sent my head into the back window and caused my nose to bleed!

  Did you REALLY believe Armaggedon was coming?

  did you ever really believe armaggedon was just about to happen?.

  maybe to such a degree that you were scared or made major changes in your life?.

  i'm not old enought to remmeber 1975 but with the gulf war a lot of people got scared and believed the end was coming ( including me).. werent we doing the revelation book at the time?.

  Darn Smurfs

  any one remember the smurfs; especially that evil papa smurf?.

  the cong i attended even gave a talk about their evilness.. roumor was one even animated itself [little plastic figure] inside the k-hall.. this led to my sister having to get rid of her smurf collection.. i'd have to say though at that time it made me happy ;being she .

  got 2-3 new smurfs every week, and they woldn't even ever buy me a hotwheels car

  How Active was the WT in the UN?

  the watchtower claims that it became a nco recognized by the un.

  in order that they could use the un library for research.. but, the ngos have to fullfill yearly requirements promoting.

  un ideals, this the wt did by publishing articles in the awake!.
