funny - did you notice the writing on the booklet held by the Witness? Are you going to heaven?
i used to deplore steven speilberg.
i thought he was a smarmy nothing, who made his way on three good movies...jaws, close encounters, and et.
even those are really flawed.
ashitaka - you're right about The Empire of the Sun being a great movie!

I don't know this Kent guy from Joe like most of you do, but do remember thinking how he seems to use the F word all the time in so many of his posts. I said to myself, "ick, this guy is a scary radical." It just seemed that he has so much anger, more anger than most of us, about the WBT&S. It does seem that he has done much good work in exposing the Society's faults ... but, still, I tend to shy away from the message when it's delivered in such a manner. I have looked at his board and left feeling "dirty."
I appreciate that I don't think I have ever seen Simon swear on this forum other than using the everyday polite "damn" types of swears. Simon just seems so much more even-tempered and less "drop poop and scatter."
Just my two cents.

well i caught wind of this and wanted to make sure anyone in the greater la area has an opportunity to plan ahead for this event.
This is pretty close to me ... but what is "CFI" as in "CFI West"?
i was reading jjrizo's thread about elders who take advantage of the kh, and i had a memory i'd like to share.
all my life growing up i had heard about how "jehovah takes care of those who put kingdom interests first.
" and all of those experiences on the platform about getting an envelope "with the exact rent amount due the day before we were to be evicted" and so on.
Wow ...
two Honda Civics ... because we drove two new "company" cars we were considered materialistic
Honda Civics don't strike me as materialistic at all ... Lexus, Cadillac, Mercedes, sure, but not Honda Civics. Gee, they're not even Honda Accords which also would not be considered materialistic by me.
this is a continuation of a subject i broached on another thread.... http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=30556&site=3.
"i don't bi*ch about my jw childhood.
i never have regrets.
For a scary second here, I thought I was going to start hearing, "so you realize man's government can't solve all of our problems, only something that God's Kingdom can do." <whoo>
