  Well Jan, i’ll let you think for a little while on the “how” you would get justice if you were robbed, and on what “justice” is and how best “justice is served.

  As for you neighbor, how has the “government” specifically saved her from covid? Does she bear any responsibility herself for her own wellbeing? Can she exercise that responsibility on her own or does the “government” have to make her? Should the government make her? Is the “government” who we really want telling us as individuals whats good for us?

  Before you answer please be sure to pay your taxes so my internet works. No government = no internet... right?

  And thats the problem, in a nutshell.

  You really believe that you need a “government” to tell you not to murder.

  You really believe that you need a “government” to prevent YOU from buying rotten fruit.

  You believe that you need the “government” to put out fires.

  it says a lot about how useless you are in your own mind. I think you, and people in general, are capable of better than even you think of yourself. I assure you the “government” is no more capable of putting out a fire than it is of stopping a virus.

  The government which governs best governs least.

  Ghost, you are missing the point. The argument on effectiveness is secondary to the real issue, freedom. In china, hong kong, Britain or any other authoritarian country, being mandated to do something is the norm. Thats not how we, as society in the united states, have traditionally lived. Land of the free, home of the brave. Dangerous freedom over peaceful security.

  I dont care one bit if a mask is 99% effective or 2% effective, if you want to wear one (or two or three) masks, knock yourself out, but f off with telling me what to do. Educate, inform, plead if you want, but mandates dont fly here.

  Its sad that we are changing and more and more weak minded pukes from other counties have slowly diluted that independent and rugged nature so that now crap like seat belt laws exist and progressively more babysitter minded government shite continues to infringe, but for now at least a narrow majority here still value the freedom to dare to be independent even if we are wrong.

  Its even better than that min. If the virus spikes for any reason, no mask was the reason. If the number of cases falls then the vaccine saved the day.

  it seems that g. jackson got confused during his presentation relating to jesus and his going to magadan.

  ( check out lloyd evans "magadangate") but the jw community seems very hesitant and quiet on this apparent "faux pas".

  has anyone had any feedback from jw's that you know on this or are they just sweeping it under the carpet as being nothing of particular note?.

  the conservative icon rush limbaugh passed away today.

  he had lung cancer and finally succumbed to the disease.

  what is sad and disgusting is how some people are happy and thrilled that he is gone.

  😂😂😂 so sensitive, Jerr.... Tell you what, I’ll take your remarks at face value. Playing the song wouldn't bother any one who listened to Rush at all. They would likely smile and reminisce fondly at the memories. Hell, paul shanklin would probably play it live as a tribute.

  Whats your point? Do think that song, which id wager a days pay you have never heard, would cast Limbaugh in a bad light? Its amusing to no end when self righteous types get all in a twist over something they have no actual knowledge of, and let themselves be tormented in agony over comedy and parody. By your standard weird al yankovich should be impaled in the most public square available.

  But do you jerr. You should be aware, however, that when they come for you, you will indeed be hoisted on the same petard and no amount of pandering will prevent it.

  This is factual.

  When Barack Obama was still a Senator, Rush enjoyed playing a song parody ‘Barack the Magic Negro’ on his show- I believe he also played it while obama was president. He also didnt make it up. A black columinist from LA (David Ehrenstein) called obama the “magic negro” in a rant about how america would always be racist. Rush turned it into a joke, which it was.

  Its ok Jerr, you can not like anyone you choose not to like, but context matters.
