No. I never wanted to live in JW paradise. I always thought that there would be no progress; that we would always just be farmers and nothing more. People would try to prove me wrong, thinking about all the things we could study, invent, create. But the organization is so deadset on bashing education now, I can't even imagine what it would be like when the whole world would be run by people like this. Even a god that would stop the progress of a building because he was worried about human power and confused all the languages because he felt threatened...god is a bastard and I never wanted to live in a world like that.

JW's Would Stay With The Org Even If 1914 Was Dropped
by pale.emperor ini asked the question on quora: .
if the governing body abandoned the 1914 teaching, would you leave jehovah's witnesses or you would remain a member regardless?.

Scary, isn't it? When I expressed doubt to my mom and showed her some articles about JW child abuse, I suspect she actually read some "apostate" material, because one night she just broke down and said that she didn't understand the overlapping generation teaching and didn't care that the GB were neither inspired nor infallible, but "What else is there, Pometerre? What else is there?"
They'll fall back on what Lloyd Evans calls the box-ticking exercise, where they talk about how there's no organization on earth that displays the love and unity that JWs do and there's no other way to live the best life than with the organization. There's of course the excuse that it's an imperfect organization run by imperfect men, and if we fall for it, it's our fault for expecting more out of them than what's reasonable. It's headbanging logic really. Sometimes I feel suicidal listening to these circular reasonings because I know that it makes sense to them, and only them, and that there's no hope of them waking up.
1914 and that generation came and went, but JWs literally do not care. The carrot of seeing your dead loved ones again and that sickness and death will miraculously disappear once Jehovah murders everyone else is too delicious for them to give up. JWs have an addiction to their organization. There's no other way for me to put it.

Jehovah`s Witnesses / Parasites On Christendom ,they need to thank them for the membership they have today.
by smiddy3 injehovah`s witnesses claim that all their beliefs are based on the bible.the bible clearly states early on in deut.4:2 not to add to the word....and rev.22:18 re-iterates much the same thing in not to make additions to the word of god.. i think we could agree on that the organization has raised the bar on that one with their "weasel" words on so many issues that have already been thrashed out on this forum.. so a few other things that come to my mind are : with regards to j.w`s being parasites on christendom.. 1. they claim christendom apostatized itself from true christianity by the 3rd century , yet they accept apostate christendoms determination of what books are to be included in the bible as gods word as if they were governed by holy spirit to do so.?.
2.jehovah`s witnesses have only ever followed in christendoms missionaries footsteps where they have gone preaching and poaching off of the work these missionaries that have laid the groundwork before them .. 3.jehovah`s witnesses have never opened up virgin territory and gone where no other christian missionary has ever gone before .
{ not to my knowledge anyway i stand to be corrected if i am wrong on this point}.

Oh. My. Goodness. I have been thinking about this exact same thing for some time now.
If you visit the Bible Archives at WT HQ, you can clearly see how the Bible has been passed through what they consider to be false religious hands. For them to berate Christendom the way they do, it's wonder they even value the Bible at all, since it was fully out of Christendom that we have the Bible that we do today. I even brought up the point that the Catholics gave us the Bible we have today to a PIMI relative and they just dismissed it saying, "Nevertheless, it's still god's word." The way they reconcile all this in their minds is incredible mental gymnastics.

Blood Card Issue
by pometerre21 ini posted this on r/exjw, but i thought i might post it here as well.
so the elders in our kh are moving to get us to sign new simplified blood cards and keep them on file.
i really need to not rock the boat in my current pimo status because of circumstances.. my cousin knows i have doubts about the blood thing, but i can’t show her that my doubts are getting to me.

I got my non-JW relative who knows about my situation to be my health care proxy. He did agree and even asked for something in writing from me about what I really wanted in an emergency. So I gave a copy of my card to the elders, and they didn't ask about who my primary health care agent was. Hopefully it won't come up.

Update: he asked for it. I’ve put off signing it but now I feel like I have to turn it in. I’ve been really good about acting mentally in, and I really need to maintain PIMO status right now.
So if I don’t carry the card in my wallet, in an emergency they would just save my life right? In the U.S in ER situations, do they contact someone to ask about blood first?
Also, do you guys think if I put a non-JW sibling as my first contact that it would raise red flags?

so what are the elders likely to do if you decline their offer ?
I'm not actually sure what will happen.
Why rock the boat unnecessarily. Hide the new blood card and make an "I accept blood card" for your wallet with blood type etc. and signature.
I'm just worried that in an emergency they will have this on file and will come to speak for me and deny me blood. Would an "I accept blood" card be legally binding over the PoA? I was thinking of making a post-dated document that stated the following:
"I, Pometerre21, being of sound mind and judgment on this day March 3, 2018, do hereby declare any previous medical Power of Attorney documents to be null and void. In the event that I require a life-saving medical treatment involving the use of whole blood or its parts, I will accept. Please disregard any documents of power of attorney before this date."
And then keeping something of the above in my wallet in lieu of my death warrant blood card. Would I have to get someone to witness me signing the above?

2018-List Of Publications Approved For Discard!

Even if this is just library management, it's still suspicious. "Worldly" libraries don't just throw out old books when something newer comes along. And they do say "discard," Meaning to throw away...not for people to keep what they want from it.
How can elders do this and not even question it?

Please tell us what State or country in which you live.
I live in the United States. I don't want to get too specfic because of WT spies or anything. The elder actually wanted to be the one to witness me signing these new cards and whatnot. I'll try to stall...I really don't want this on file at the KH. I would want a postdated card to be perfectly legal in an emergency. Would I have to get someone to witness me signing such a document stating that I would take a blood transfusion?
If I don't carry a blood card but I have my ID and I do get into a medical emergency, can they give me blood if they don't find that DPA on me? Say I was brought to the ER and needed blood, do they really need to call anyone before they administer blood?

Hello all,
I posted this on r/exjw, but I thought I might post it here as well.
So the elders in our KH are moving to get us to sign new simplified blood cards and keep them on file. I really need to not rock the boat in my current PIMO status because of circumstances.
My cousin knows I have doubts about the blood thing, but I can’t show her that my doubts are getting to me. It’s a weird set of circumstances I have.
If I were to go through with signing a blood card, would putting my blood type on my license be enough to invalidate that? (In addition to not carrying the card on me).
In an emergency, if the blood card isn’t found on the person, will a hospital give you blood to save your life? Or would they have to contact someone first?
Is it mandatory that these cards be kept on file at the KH? Do I have the right to refuse this? I'm trying to think of a way to respectfully decline to have my card on file with them that doesn't raise any red flags. Any advice for this?

Do Jehovah's Witnesses Accept Evolution?
by jukief inby evolution or by creation?
by evolution or by creation?
"the bible is a myth" and "evolution is true".

Bizarrely , they accept evolution at a vastly faster speed than in reality as they state all animal types on earth are derived from a few species that came out of Noah's ark. For example , they claim that the over 34,000 animal species are somehow derived from maybe 1,000 or less "kinds". Evolution on this hugely accelerated scale has never been observed and there is absolutely no evidence for it.
This is what I wanted to say. If they believe that a global flood happened in 2370 BCE, they most certainly have to accept some mutant hyper-evolution of epic proportions. There are over 91,000 species of insects in the USA alone (Source). How these different species got to where they are today would have to have been through supernatural rates of evolution or something.
Furthermore, the animals that only exist in certain places (Amazon Rainforest, Australia, Madagascar)...how the hell did they get there and only there?? Where did Noah find the room to fit all these different animals? Why do lions, tigers, bears have sharp teeth if they were supposed to be vegetarians? Why are snakes venomous? Spiders?
