does anyone have any reading recommendations for bible fallacies/contradictions etc??.
also i just ordered christ conspiracy by a. acharya after reading some wonderful reviews on it.. i was also interested if any of you had any opinions on :.
the encyclopedia of biblical errancy by c. dennis mckinsey .
francois --good question. I am doIng this to better inform myself and be at my best when I discuss the Bible with my father. I hate getting flustered when I can't remeber something but if I have some preperation beforehand I would feel much better having more knowledge. Knowledge is power right

Are any or all good reads? Does anyone recommend or discredit any of these? I am interested in building a mini library up that way I have some good resources at my fingertips and am interested in getting just a couple really good ones. Thanks in advance.
have been using morpheus for a couple of years now, and hasn't been too bad at all, got about 400 tracks download.
since gettiing aol broadband, the diversity seems to have diminished a bit, either i'm on the wrong dsl provider or morpheus isn't as good as it used to be.
the one i was on previous (can't remember the name now) went totally pearshaped after it got served a writ for using copyrighted material.....anyway, know of any other good music file sharing sites?
Try Blubster
I agree with points on both sides of the infringement/copywright issue....
However for me it comes down to a few steps....
First of all on all those file sharing you are going to usually find the top 40 etc with the artists that are already making millions.
Second if you do stumble across some lesser knowns all downloading their music is going to do is make you want to buy their t-shirts...go to their concerts etc etc etc. In the end it is the best advertising for some musicians whose music might never reach the other end of their country but with this is raeches all over the world.
As far as the theivery idea......music is art and art was created to be shared (This opinion comes from a novice musucian/songwriter artist and if I were to make it big it would be more to get my thoughts and ideas out there than to make money....the money would come from the live shows anyway)
ok with the death of nina simone today at 70, i got to thinking about other great artists who have died.
many would say elvis, but he wouldn't feature if i had to pick just 3. mine would go something like this.
3. tammy wynette (stand by your man was a song that'll always remind me of my grandad who died 10 years ago, always makes me smile and remember him, and her collaboration with the klf circa 1992. justified and ancient.
Cobain
Joplin
Hendrix
Morrison
Lennon
and more but those are the ones that initially come to mind
ok, we all get them in the mail, but here's one geared towards us that i just wrote up.
feel free to add to it, as i'd love for it to go around a bit ^_^ .
copy and paste this into your response box because i just wrote it and i figure whattheheck, this could be good!!!
i didn't want to hijack the thread but reading:.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/50019/1.ashx gave me an idea.. what are all the the ways that witnesses are like other religions or organizations.
that way when they come back with the reply that they are seperate from the world we can say say..."well not really when you look at it and here's why".
Good ones guys.......keep 'em coming. I think I will start a list that wat next time they go off on how different they are I will have not one but a list of ways they are the same.
ona-----are you going to the UK? If you are maybe you should visit end of May.......we could meet up....

Some examples....
They say say that they are different because they go door to door...well don't the Mormons do that as well?
They say they are different because they don't celibrate Christmas...Arent there some eastern/pagan (or Jewish?) religions that don't follow suit with this as well?
Can you come up with any others?
