  My only must watch show is Alias. I have not missed one episode since it started. Poor Matty i think he gets annoyed that you can't talk to me on Sunday night ;)

  an intervention?

  you know like friends and families do with members who are addicted to drugs/alcohol etc.

  i've always wondered if something like that would work.

  Good points all.
  
  I was referring to using an intervention with JW's who are family/friends etc. If you have enough people backing you up would you try it.
  
  Its different when its a physical addiction then it usually only works if the person really wants to change.
  
  I have heard of "interventions" with people in cults but don't know how successful they are.

  i was wondering why all the newly built kingdom halls don't have windows anymore!

  i remember going to the hall in the 70's and we had lots of windows.

  then they started building them without.

  Yes, the "distraction" factor and also the cost factor are two important reasons but the third is security. Kingdom Halls, along with other churches are often targets for vandalism, having no windows lessens their vulnerability. Bear in mind that Witnesses believe in "the signs of the times" and the "Great Tribulation", where social anarchy and persecution is supposed to increase.

  this outfit is spending boku $$$ on internet advertising, as i see banner ads & pop-ups advertising their service everywhere i surf.. anybody use it?

  is it worth the $20/month?

  I've been a member for over a year and Matty and I love it. I'm a big movie fan and my queue is absolutely incredibly long (as soon as we have more time we are going to upgrade to more movies per month).
  My great thing is the no late fees like sometimes I want to watch a great movie 2 times I dont have to worry about watching it twice in one day.
  We dont live that close to their office but still mangae to get movies before they say we should even.
  Definately go for it.
  FTR--I have had a couple movies lost in the mail and they had no problem with still sending more out to us. Its really a great deal.
