The Witneses reckon that they are the only ones going door-to-door!
by Bungi Bill ini just had a visit from two guys who are engaged in a door-to-door campaign in the area, preaching "the gospel", and offering, to quote "the best news you are ever going to hear".
this was at 3:30 pm local time, an hour at by which all jws would have long called it a day.
while these two didn't identify themselves with any particular church group, it was quite obvious that they were neither jws or lds.

The argument a JW would say that they are doing this on a global scale and I got asked have you ever had another religious group knock on your door? And I answered never.
Plus even if another religious group was going door to door on a global scale. The JW would say they don't have the truth so they are wrong.

JW Parents and kicking out their children
by NJ501 inis it a common practice for jw parents to kick their children out of the home, if the child doesn't want to be a jw.
(even though their not disfellowshipped they will still get kicked out for not going to meetings etc.??).
do other religions encourage kicking family members out this as well?

Thanks for all your comments.
Because I've been recently threatened to pack my bags and get out. Even though Im not disfellowshipped and Im not a bad person. I dont want to leave and live a immoral lifestyle either.
And Ive heard of similar situations where kids have been kicked out and was wondering if this is a common situation.

Do other religions encourage kicking family members out this as well? Or is this a cult practice?
Does this also mean the parents love is only conditional?

Blood Transfusions/Blood Salvage
by NJ501 inhi all,i've been doing some research on blood transfusions and fractions.
i found out a patient can donate their own blood, so it can be used for elective surgery...i was wondering if theirs really any difference between a blood transfusion of your own blood and the blood salvage procedure.
i think quite similar since its just a re-transfusion of your own blood.. what are your thoughts?

by pale.emperor inhttps://www.facebook.com/jw.0027/videos/799049613609936/.

They don't want you educated because the higher your educated the less likely you will be intimidated and you start to think for yourself. Your life will be more successful and easier.
When your a cleaner or a window washer then life is difficult and unsatisfying in the world..Just like the WT wants you to believe. Similar to the lower educated employees who must submit to their bosses or be threaten to lose everything.

why jw's commit suicide?
by notalone inwe all know the rate of suicide is high among jw's.
my question is this- was there some subliminal messages that encourage this.
i was a born in and my entire life i would have these thoughts that could come out of nowhere,"kill yourself.

I've been recently prescribed antidepressants and contemplated suicide. Its has a lot to do with the JW religion. There's no escape without being disowned by your family, shunned by friends even if your not disfellowshipped, abnormal fear of the world and for years I have been deprived of my basic human needs an isolated.
Everything is made to seem pointless and life is un-enjoyable when its only work and endless knocking on doors, repetitive meetings and forced to associate with judgemental congregation clicks.

Am I selfish?
by Jules Saturn intonight i had an argument with both my parents.
my parents are aware of my feelings towards the organization, and it saddens them because i am their first born son.
they had high expectations of me, my father dreamt of him and i serving together as elders.
