Same Talks Again and Again

hey i’m back i know it’s been a long time since i’ve posted on the form but a lot things have been happening so i haven’t had much time to post.. ive been 14 for awhile now makes me happy because i’m getting closer to being able to get a job and work my way out of this.. i have meetings on saturdays now which is horrible because i rather have it on sunday because it’s already a sad day because i got to go to school the next day.three of our public talks have had different brothers saying the same thing talking about the signs of the end days.the thing that gets me is when they always try and bank on the earthquake part i mean i’m really into science so i already knew a lot about plate tectonics sea floor spreading etc but you get taught this in school.with plates always moving divergent convergent transform etc there will be earthquakes it’s the effect of plates moving against or rubing on each or going back into the mantle(subduction zones) it happens.so when there’s a report in japan of a lot of earthquakes it must be the end times!no japan is located on four plates it’s going to experience big earthquakes.. i don’t know that just gets under my skins when they try and say it’s the end days because of the earth having natural things happen like plate tectonics is something that’s been happening recently no we might have gotten our hands on the technology to spot earthquakes recently but this has been happening for millions of years.. speaking of years i hope you all have a great 2019 and i’ll definitely post more of my thoughts this year..

Thats the problem I have mostly with no one getting any education So they can get away with some dumb shit when they talk about science or any other subject.For example is there videos on did it evolve or was it designed (I havent seen one of those videos in awhile so I dont know if thats the title)But they just say what the animal can do and at the end they feel like they totally trumped you in a debate I say this because we have had talks like that would refer to the video or on the back of the awake.

They didnt show any proof on there side of the argument but since it sounds to complex it couldnt have evolved.

Good to hear from you again! Hapoy new year! I might be in the minority here with this, but my sons are almost two years younger than yourself, and it would break my heart if I thought they were planning to leave me (actually I think it will probably take one of your earthquakes to shift them LoL).
So....is there any chance that in a year or so you could have THAT conversation with your mum? Explain (assuming youre not baptised)you dont want to continue attending meetings dont brlieve in God and make a pact not to discuss "spiritual"things with each other in order to maintain your relationship ? Any chance at all?
I just hate the idea of that religion depriving another family group of each other!!!
Only you know whether its worth the risk. After all, you could say, if shes right she doesnt have much time left with you, so surely she should make the most of it, rather than being estranged from you?!!
By the way, im extremely imoressed with your geography knowledge!I have to nag my sons to do their homework and regularly test them on various subjects, including geography, which is fascinating.
One thing JWs do for their awake kids , ironically, is give them a real appreciation of education, which my kids take for granted!

I have had a conversation like that It went ok but it ended with her still wanting me to at least listen to what watchtower says

The future of young Witnesses

there's a convention being held near my hometown, and as i was passing by i saw a father taking his young children for a walk outside.

and i wondered what would happen to those children, what they would experience at school and in their adult life.

i wondered if they would grow up repressed and anxious and fearful and full of guilt like i did, although i was not raised a witness.

Well coming from a kid,at the age 5 or 6 the kid should (SHOULD) be ok but once they start thinking with there own mind it turns into a shit show.If they are big on telling people that they are a JW at school most kids will be dicks,or if they have a double life they will have a feeling of guilt for there hole life until they move out or just stop living a double life.

Most kids would move out when they can but there are still a good amount that stay because of family etc.

Trust me its shit trying to have a normal life like talking to friends hanging out with friends etc.Because they are worldly or your parents only want you talking to kids at the kingdom hall.

WT is really taking a shit on kids when it comes to there teachings.

If any kid is looking at this post for some reason I want to say a it might be could a double life to JW's but is really a NORMAL LIFE don't feel bad about living a ''double life''.

know before i say anything the title might make go like ''what?are you going to say that its bad for a younger person to be friends with a older one'' no not at all i think its a good thing that a kid should have at least one older person they are friends with.. now,i dont think young people should not try and talk to some one older than them or become friends like i said.but to me it seems more like a cover up for the watchtower because a lot of young people when they can most will likey want to get out and leave.now to me all the time when i see a congregation there are more older people than younger.young people mostly want to have a friends there age,but that's hard most family's say ''we dont want to have kids in this system.

''which leaves a low amount of kids in a congregation.. what i'm saying here is that not all congregations have 12,13,16,5,6 year old kids so kids that age dont have many friends to start out with.

so i see the hole thing on making friends with older ones and you should be talking to older ones more as a cover up to that problem.. i might be wrong about this hole thing but i wanted to talk about,as some one who cant really have friends because there is no one my age i could really talk to..

You’re right it’s not just a JW taught thing and like I said In my post I don’t think it’s a bad idea to talk older people.I love talking to older people and having a interesting conversation with them.But it seem like a way for the Watchtower to cover up the fact that you don’t see as many young ones which could be a problem for younger people looking for friends.

still, i believed in some foundation and went for that.
