Plans for huge Jehovah's HQ take shape
by Formerbrother inhttp://www.chelmsfordweeklynews.co.uk/news/11227290.plans_for_huge_jehovah_s_hq_take_shape/.
its going to be a real beautiful place when its finished.. they are going for quality over quantity.
it used to be accommodation for a few thousand permanent residents, now its looking like less than a thousand permanent with the possibility of a few thousand more in temporary accommodation should the need arise.. some say the plans are going to be like a garden of eden in england :) i mean they had farming in london over the years but this is going to be epic what they are planning for temple farm at chelmsford.. they are planting thousands (literally) of fruit trees, including tropical fruits in huge green houses, huge vines yards and then the same basic farming activities as before.

Debating With Evolution Deniers is Just Like This
by cofty inarguing with those who reject scientific evidence can be like arguing about football; just as angry and passionate, but the goalposts keep moving, and one team doesn't exist.. read more here....

You are ALL wrong!! Evolution doesn't exist. Everything and everyone was made by the God Coca-Cola in 1886. Everything that appears to be older than 130 years is just an illusion of which the purpose is to test the faith of the followers of the Only True God Coca-Cola.
Be amazed at its sugary liquid:

Beards mentioned again in magazine!
by neat blue dog inaaaaaand .
.. it offers absolutely nothing new.. from questions from readers in the december 2016 study edition watchtower:.
"is it proper for a brother todayto have a beard?in some cultures, a neat beardmay be acceptable and may notdetract from the kingdom mes-sage.

In some cultures it's not acceptable to wear a beard? Oh, really?
In North America, Jehovah's Witnesses generally are not allowed to wear a beard. Interestingly, though, nobody I've met who lives in North America actually thinks that beards are unacceptable... Everyone that I've met has not a single problem with beards... So you're saying...?
polish clarinet - He answered seriously that some could think that muslim extremists have infiltrated the WTBTS!
Yup. When I was still a Jehovah's Witness but had a stubble, I was told by an elder that I look like a Muslim, so I should shave it off. What...?
Maybe we should organise a survey and find out how many non-JWs actually consider beards unacceptable?

Move on. Forget about her. Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult. You should do research about Jehovah's Witness practices and beliefs. You'd be surprised to learn of what they believe but what they won't tell you during the "initiation" process (Bible study.) I used to study the Bible with them, but they kept me in the dark about the ugliest practices until I got more involved with them. They only tell you about their actual beliefs when you get baptised and are brainwashed enough. For instance, if you are unbaptised, you are good to associate with non-Jehovah's Witness people. If you are baptised, however, you cannot befriend people that are not Jehovah's Witnesses. Another—related—example is that Jehovah's Witnesses believe that "worldly" people—including young kids—will die in the Armageddon. ("Wordly" is the term used by them for non-Jehovah's Witness people.) If that's not enough, they also believe that blood transfusion is wrong, and so they forbid it.
If the above is not enough, do research. If you're still not convinced after researching their religion... well... love's blind, I guess (which is nothing to be proud of.)

PS. 105:15 Anointed...
by tor1500 inthis week bible reading is ps.102-105.
i noticed in ps 105:15: saying, “do not touch my anointed ones, and to my prophets do nothing bad.".
so are these part of the 144,000?
-
Saename
blondie - The early Christians or Jewish had no idea that there would be only 144,000 since that number was written in a book by John, one of the 12 apostles around 100 A.D
I don't think Jesus' apostles were alive by 100 CE

Woman's Purpose
by StopTheTears ini'm probably going to say some things here that will disappoint many.
there are some that may look back over the years and say "man i really blew it" i'm not writing the following to scold for failures, but rather to help those who are young enough to put into practice what god wills for their life, and also to those of us who are in our middle years that still have time to change some things, in order to please god and find a peace that only being in his will can bring.
first let me say that god didn't create man for you.

Ancient Irael, Jehovah and the GB (has anyone considered this before?)
by LoveUniHateExams ini was just thinking about the wts and child abuse crimes/accusations.. in ancient israel, jehovah used the surrounding nations to punish israel for its wickedness.. seeing as the wts always likes to draw comparison between ancient israel and today, what about today?
could a witness argue that god is currently using 'worldly' courts to punish jw sex abusers and the wts?.
has anyone posted this before?

Before the Maccabean Revolt (167–160 BCE), the prophets of Israel had the prophetic view of reality. They argued that Yahweh punishes people because of their wrongdoing and hence there is suffering in Israel (theodicy.) Later, most particularly after the Maccabean Revolt when the Jews regained control of Israel and defeated the Syrians, some Jews embraced the apocalyptic view of reality (dualism.) This is something that you can see in Dead Sea Scrolls.
Jesus also had this view, which he likely "inherited" from John the Baptist. Jehovah's Witnesses base their ideology on Jesus, and hence they also have the apocalyptic view of reality—namely that God will destroy the "world" and establish his own Kingdom on earth.
So could some Witnesses argue that God uses "worldly" courts to punish them? Well... technically, yes, but that would be inconsistent with their apocalyptic view. This is something that the prophetic view would certainly embrace—that Yahweh uses "wordly" resources to punish his people. This is not something that would be a part of the apocalyptic view. Therefore, I would argue that the Governing Body itself would not encourage that kind of reasoning. I can't say whether that would be the same with the elders since, after all, most of them are uneducated individuals who would be unable to even define the prophetic view—much less compare it with the apocalyptic view.

There is science that prove God exists
by HopeEverLasting injehovahs witnesses think that just the bible is proof that god exists but they are wrong.
there is another mode for how he exists.
now we all know many scientists who are creationists now weren’t creationists until they examined the evidence for themselves.

- Our Coke which art in cans,
- Swallowed be thy liquid.
- Thy bubbles come,
- Thou be smelled,
- Both at home as in store.
- Give us this day of coke plenty,
- And forgive us our lust for Pepsi,
- As we also have forgiven those who drink it beside us.
- And lead us not into Dr Pepper,
- But deliver us from such evil.
- -
- Our Pasta which art in pans,
- Tasted be thy sauce.
- Thy meatballs come,
- Thy will be eaten,
- Both at home and in restaurant.
- Give us this day garlic bread,
- And forgive us our lack of cheese,
- As we also have forgiven those who mock the pirates.
- And lead us not into vegetarianism,
- But deliver us from such evil.

- Our Unicorn which art invisible,
- Heard be thy hooves.
- Thy pinkness come,
- Thy visage be as moonlight,
- Both from North as from South.
- Give us this day thy fairy dust,
- And forgive us our emperor's new clothes,
- As we also have forgiven those who think thou art purple.
- And lead us not into carnivorism,
- But deliver us from such evil.
