How is creationism DISPROVED?
by sabastious init is disproven.
but let's start another thread, because this one is being yanked off track again.
creationism/evolution always deserves its own thread.

Girls are unpredictable, materialist, and use us, men, as a toy.
by will-be-apostate inwell, it seems like i am going to ruin the domination of raypublishers' topic at this section of the board.
:d. now back to the topic.
the last month i was trying to get "closer" to my classmates and to the others from my highschool.

The falling in love too easily thing gets easier with age...and after several failed tries ;). Will-be-apostate, perhaps discover in your mind what kind of girl you want, or what kind of girl you don't want, and go from there. I would have saved myself a lot of time and grief had I done this earlier in my life. If you are concerned about your apperance, maybe pick up a gym membership and get on a diet that will help you bulk up a bit if you are concerned about being too skinny. Avoid steroids though!

Will-be-apostate, keep in mind that there is a massive culture war taking place inside and outside the Church. The war is systematically displacing the traditional male role and switching with to females having all the power. It has nothing to do with favour towards females; the Illuminati know that by neutering masculinity and traditional roles, you are so much more easily capable of controlling the populations. This is a highly sophisticated psychological war, and I completely sympathize with your situation. This is happening to many sincerely masculine and chivalrous men.
Patriarchy has always stood in the way of tyrants and oppresive regimes. Neuter the traditional male and you neuter the family unit. Neuter the family unit and you neuter communities. Neuter communities and you neuter countries, etc.

Sebatious, in my short time on this forum, it has been my experience that we are dealing with mainly amateur atheists. I have dealt with seriously intelligent atheists in my life who take the time to actually answer questions the best they can. On here, however, you get obfuscation, diversionary tactics, and outright ad hominem personal attacks. I wish you the best in getting an answer. I wouldn't let the antics of the amateurs make you think less of the sincerity of intelligent atheists, even though I personally disagree with both.
On another note, the most impressive encounter I had with an atheist was one who was also a high-ranking Freemason.

Why are atheists so intent on scorning "believers"?
by Chariklo inuntil recently, i had never encountered this word "believers" used as it is being used on this board, to describe pejoratively a group of people.
it's not clear to me whether they scorn all who have a faith of some sort.
do they include buddhists, hindus, followers of the baha'i faith, followers of the cargo cult, native americans along with christians, or is it just christians who are honoured with this epithet?.

NewChapter said:
" And do the 10 commandments they follow include the Sabbath day---and is that logical?"
I see, so you get philosophical when it suits you. But when tough questions are asked, play the "I don't want to get into a philosophical debate" card.

Still Thinking, if you ask a Christian, for example, by which standard they determine reason, they will quickly tell you that it's the Bible, or the 10 commandments, or Jesus' teachings, etc. I am simply asking what the atheist equivalent would be, since, I assume, atheists believe they exercise reason.

Seriously, Stonecutter, your responses seem completely disconnected from the statements being made---it's like we are taking part in two different conversations.
Why should I interpret this as anything less than an avoidance of my question? Irrelevant or not, would you please answer?

Are we going to banter, or are we going to answer a still unaswered and very legitimate question on the table?

NewChapter, let's go with Plato's universal application of reason (logos) and not the all-too-used Enlightenment understanding of the concept...for the sake of argument.
Under the Platonic idea, what is the standard by which atheists determine reason?

Why so quickly offended, snare? I was asking a fairly to-the-point question without suggesting anything. Let me rephrase my question: What is the atheist's standard by which to determine reason? And please answer without ad hominems and strawmen. Thank you in advance.
