Similarities between Roman Catholics and Jehovah`s Witnesses

both claim to be the sole path to god (or did at some point ).

both claim to reach back to first century christians ,( though jw`s are a bit ambiguous about this).

the r.c church has a pope , the j.w.`s have a governing body ,both providing spiritual food to the faithful.

The Watchtower is correct in being set up as an authoritarian body. They got this idea from the Catholic Church. However, the Watchtower is a gross perversion of the true Church. That is all I am saying, Pterist. Atheists often accuse this kind of authoritarianism as a form of exploitation. I don't deny that that has happened, but history has shown that no organization, religious or business, can function at its best without some form of authoritarianism. These same atheists won't dare criticize their bosses or employers for being "authoritarian", would they?

For those who were following the documents, they knew this was coming. The "smart" grid and the whole environmental movement is a ruse and a pretext for world government and land grabbing. An example of the hypocrisy of this phony green movement is its founder, Maurice Strong. This clown started the eco movement, yet he was the CEO of Petro-Canada, Canada's Crown petroleum producer.

this is totally unrelated to anything jw, but it's the only group i'm in online with such a mix of men and women, so i'm asking.

what's your experience with hand shaking?.

me, when i meet someone for the first time, i offer to shake their hand.

I think hand shaking is good, but it is becoming less common as the age of eloquence erodes into oblivion. Having said that, Masonic handshakes are lame and ridiculous.

Clarity, many hate talk of world conspiracies because it threatens their faith in the system. And venturing down the road of a conspiratorial world view puts them in the all-too uncomfortable state of cognitive dissonance. It's easier to keep drinking the Kool Aid instead! There problem isn't that they haven't been given the right information to convince them; their problem is their spiritual state, their philosophy on life and the world. They simply have no idea how the world really works.

Watchtower using MK Ultra/Monarch programming?

i have always wondered if the watchtower, being a major player in the brainwashing industry, is part of or incorporates mk ultra programming.. for those not familiar with it, project mk ultra was an illegal cia mind control program that apparently still exists unofficially through monarch butterfly programming.

childern are often the victims of this program, as social engineers and psychological operators found that sexually and physically abusing children produced traits beneficial to the intelligence community, like photographic memory and amnesia (good for carriers of secrets and sensitive information).

monarch programming also produces candidates for manchurian operations.. anyways, it seems that the cia could definitely benefit by using the watchtower to carry out some of this programming, as the structure of the watchtower kingdom halls makes it easy for predators to abuse kids with impunity.. i did a search on this forum and found at least one person who claims to have been a victim of this, if i am reading correctly.

Remember that "sex researcher" Alfred Kinsey and the Kinsey Institute used to pay paedophiles to record their crimes and subsequently used the data obtained from these criminals to make up the data in his book, Sexual Behaviour in the Human Male, which became the bible of the sexual revolution. That sounds all nice and good, Pterist, but history shows that the spread of private interpretation has been disastrous for the faith. What made the Protestant revolution possible wasn't the work of God; it was the dismantling of Catholic power (separation of Church and State) in Germany. Even Luther regretted what became of the movement. The debauched and bloody Reformation in places like Muenster and Tabor was proof positive of the consequences of all the private interpreting going on. Germany was one big Waco, Texas full of Branch Davidians rolling around in pig dung, running around naked, and committing all kinds of fornications.

What I am saying isn't to minimize the intimacy between an individual believer and God. It has more to do with doctrine. You, as a Preterist, should appreciate the unity of the Universal Church during the Millennial Reign of Christ. After the 1,000 years was up, Satan went to work through the Judaizing and Reformation of the Church. Don't you see the ending of the 1,000 years and the proliferation of Sola Scriptura as evidence that Satan had been unleashed on the Church?
