I agree, FWFranz. If the tetragrammaton were so holy, why do witches use it to invoke demons? I don't really buy the excuse that the occult hijacked the tetragrammaton from the Bible. I think the occult subverted the Bible with the tetragrammaton, specifically through the Masoretic Hebrew text. It apepars the Masoretes were Kabbalists (Jewish magicians), so they would have had every reason to implant their magic into the scriptures. Then, as if by Divine intervention, the scriptures turned to the Greek language. The Kabbalists tried to put one past God but failed miserably.

by trujw injw's make much of calling god jehovah as if somehow this makes them better than us.
do we call our mother's by their legal name?
if you do or do not does that make the other less a son or daughter of god?.

by Band on the Run ini know about johnathan edwards and william miller being some of the forerunners of the wtbts.

Chariklo, I'll let you answer that question for yourself. Check out the bit about Enochian Magic here:
http://jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/8093/5/The-Watchtower-and-the-Masons
Chariklo, Satanus, I would argue that the Cabala is the foundation of all occult and New Age systems. So, yes, Blavatsky was a Kabbalist, without a doubt. As for Charles Taze Russell using Kabbalah, I would say most likely. He surrounded himself with the charms and incantations associated with white magic, including the tetragrammaton, pyramidology, Enochian Magic, as well as his strange predictions, which he likely received from Kabbalah angels. All Christian Kabbalists were date setters and prognosticators. John Dee got his "knowledge" from the same cast of so-called angels. In the end, Dee's angels advised him to wife swap with his running mate in Prague while running intelligence missions for Queen Elizabeth. Sound angelic? Regardless, the Church has always taught that calling on angelic beings will only invoke fallen angels. Therefore, White Magic is really only black magic in disguise...a Hegelian dialectic of sorts.
Kurtbethel, Blavatsky used the hexagram with the tetragrammaton while Russell used the tetragrammaton without the hexagram, although Russell made use of pyramids, which make up the hexagram (one pyramid fixed over an inverted pyramid).
Considering the Kabbalist fixation on communicating with "angels", one wonders whether there is an occult root to the Watchtower's Jesus-is-Michael doctrine.

The Watchtower and the Masons
by ozziepost inthe latest edition of the free in christ ministries journal contains a very interesting article entitled the watchtower and masons.. drawing upon material from the book the watchtower & the masons by fritz springmeier, it gives the following parallels between the things that c t russell believed and those taught by the masons:.
* both believe jehovah is the most important word being the basis of their dogma, and the name of their god.
* both believe god yielded power to a lesser god.

kurthbethel, the common denominator is Cabala. The founder of Theosophy was Helena Blavatsky, a Jewish mystic. We have every reason to believe the Russell family were Kabbalist Jews. And then there is CT Russell's pyramidology and Enochian magic, among other things.

Band on the Run, I would venture to say that Charles Taze Russell came from a family of Marrano Jews who utilized concepts from John Dee, the man who popularized Christian Kabbalism in England under Elizabeth following the Inquisition. It looks like the Marranos continued their subversion of the Catholic Church by taking up residence in England, where Freemasonry soon followed after their arrival. John Dee's magic is the backbone of most of the British Protestant denominations, as well as the Taborite and Anabaptist hyper-millennialism, while Freemasonry provided a way of hoodwinking governments (Elizabeth onward in England) and keeping Protestant leaders in line with the Illuminati agenda. These heresies soon found their way to America through Britian's Imperial conquest of the New World. When Marranos like Russell and Masons like Joseph Smith and Ellen White arrived on American shores, it wasn't long before their churches started sprouting up.
Smiddy, the Waldensians and the Watchtower share many similarities. The truth is, British Zionism borrowed concepts from almost all of the European Protestant movements. These eventuated in the neo-conservative movement, the goal of Protestantism, whose sole focus is the state of Israel in Palestine.
The modus operandi of all Protestant movements is to separate themselves from the others by requiring some kind of exclusivity, usually through theology. This is necessary for dividing the body of believers, something the sinister architects of the Reformation recognized.
The Watchtower was originally following a pattern of Christian Zionism in the school of Cyrus Scofield. This later changed and it discarded the political element of its theology, more or less. The Evangelical movement, especially the Southern Baptist and Charismatic movement, picked up where Russell left off. The Evangelical movement, dominated by Freemasons and funded by Illuminati money, is now the greatest promotoer of mid-East politics favouring Israel. The current Watchtower pursued another path, one equally as damaging to the Church as the evangelical movement.
The failed predictions of the Watchtower is not exclusive to American millennialist groups; it was going on in Germany, especially in Tabor and where Anabaptism was prevalent. And, of course, it went on in England under the wave of occult revival.

Natural selection is part of evolution. You are confused.
Correction: natural selection is part of evolution but not exclusive to evolution.

No so. Evolution tends to reward that which leads to reproductive success. Empathy leads to reproductive success in mammals.
You are confusing evolution with natural selection. Natural selection leads to reproductive success in mammals.

Satanus, who is to say that empathy is a good thing? If everything is chemical, then everything is equally valid, be it psychopathy or empathy.

This tax-exempt reversal is tantamount to Henry VIII's plundering of England's monasteries, with the wealth going to England's elite. It's a transfer of wealth that will not benefit Joe Taxpayer, despite the stated intentions. It's a nail in the coffin of religion as well.
