My presentation (new one here!)

i registered in the board and i wanted to present myself.. i used to visit this forum some time ago and even register an account but then i tried to convince myself all was ok in the congregation.

now, i'm coming back :).

i live in a southern european nation, i'm a young jw, a good example in the congregation serving as a regular pioneer and ms. for all in the congregation i'm the good guy, one of the best examples in the area i live.

Thank you for the great introduction. I am happy for you, that you woke up while you are still young.

You have a good plan and have received some good advice here.

Once you land a job you can support yourself on, it will make it easier to explain the need to stop pioneering. I have just one suggestion. The WT study for next week can give you a golden opportunity to explain your need to move to a congregation in your native language. The photo of the family that is struggling to understand speaks a thousand words. Study that article carefully, now that your eyes are open.

Changed Wording in February 2017 WT Article

the february 2017 wt had stated that the gb is "neither inspired nor infallible" and that it can make errors in doctrine.. the language of the online wt issue now says, “the governing body is neither inspired nor perfect.

therefore, it can make mistakes when explaining the bible or directing the organization.”.

why the change?

Maybe nuance? "Infallible" is sometimes associated with the Pope.

and i've seen/head a lot of cults in my time.. he's over the top with his voice tone and gestures.

I wonder what the Arabs of New York think of him when this creepy looking Puerto Rican comes to their door trying to speak to them in deep throated Arabic. I cam imagine Jose Jr. strutting around the Arab KH as the COBE, keeping them in control. Although I doubt there are many Arabs there. I would guess they are mostly Americans who are learning or trying to learn Arabic.

If some of the helpers were helping them think, they might have thought they could get more donations by saying they need to build 1,000 halls in 5 years rather than be honest and say they only need to build about 20 halls a year so they could get some footage for JWTV.

In the advertisement for the Warwick tour it lists 3 exhibits. One is an exhibit of Bibles. The second deals with history of the organization. The third praises the wonderful acts of the Governing Body (capitals theirs). No Jesus exhibit. No exhibit of Christian charity.

BTW, is there anyone in Wales who only speaks Welsh and no English? Or for that matter, is there anyone in the world whose only language is Scottish-Gaelic? It's cool, but do they really need to publish their propaganda in those languages to communicate with people to the north and west of England?

I also think an important motivation for building RTOs is real estate proftlits. And orphancrow has a good hunch about getting Satan's governments to support their work. In addition to getting government aid, it can also help Watchtower avoid getting taxed, since they can point to these efforts to support smaller languages, some of which are dieing. Look, we really are a charity!

Geoffrey Jackson has some direct experience with tapping this revenue stream. He was able to get the Australian government to foot the bill for publishing his Tuvalu an dictionary, when he was a missionary there. Tuvalu has the smallest population of the 196 members of the UN. And only 10,000 people speak Tuvaluan. But look at all the literature published in Tuvaluan on their website. All that for one congregation with 60 publishers.
