  it's a world away from the dating shows and cooking competitions commercial tv networks are stacking their schedules with right now.

  but on channel 7's bride & prejudice, we meet couples whose families are dead set against their relationships.

  and it's a heartbreaker..... it was at love at first sight for sydney couple chris, 39, and grant, 32. grant's parents have always accepted his homosexuality; however chris's parents have struggled and remain uncomfortable with his way of life.

  Love and commitment are the two foundations of a happy marriage. If two people share those values, what difference does sex have to do with it? It's sad that families can't accept that because of prejudice.

  Besides, I think Grant and Chris are a fabulous looking couple!

  i know it's been explained, but i still don't get it.

  it is hard to distinguish between a troll and a jw apologist at times because the reactions are very similar.

  DJS, I agree. If only legal citizens were hired for all service jobs, agricultural work, childcare, and heavy labor at reasonable wages with adequate healthcare, we'd be on the way to full employment and prosperity.

  Let's target the true culprits. Those who make obscene profits by exploiting people who dare not fight for basic human rights because they are terrified of losing a job. And those who buy the cheaper products that result from from such a system. Those who condone and benefit from that arrangement have no right to complain.

  All these clips are as funny today as they were so long ago. Even as a kid, I loved that show! It's a type of humor that anyone could understand. From outright slapstick, to subtle gibes at the pretensions we all exhibit at times, she was a true trailblazer in presenting women's issues in a non threatening, but thought provoking way.

  it seems like mobilizing after the election, which seems pointless.

  i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?

  Why is this blind allegiance to the anointed ones?

  even when they know that certain things are not right with the organization the flocks are blindly following their leaders viewing them as the future “kings and priests” (originally a sumerian concept).. greed for a “land of milk and honey” (either in this life or the next) is at the root of their allegiance.

  interestingly, greed is something the flocks are warned against: ‘be on your guard against all kinds of greed which is idolatry.’ (luke 12:15; colossians 3:5).

  The idea that Anthony Morris, let alone the other 6 Governing Body members, would be appointed to lead in the New World makes it clear that the whole concept is fatally flawed. Not to mention having to deal with Russell, Rutherford, and the other chosen ones. Can you imagine the fighting over doctrine? I'm sure Russell would have a few things say to Rutherford!
  

  I have no faith in a self appointed group that "just knows" they are chosen. I'm sure that Jehovah has a much better way to select his future Kings and Princes.
