Maybe educated people are too busy enjoying their careers and making good money to care about such trivialities?
I think there's a lot of truth to that statement.

this last paragraph seems particularly relevant:.

To all those who might be thinking of burning Qur'ans or mistreating Muslims in any way: please don't. You would be playing right into the radical's hands if you did. Radical Islam encourages Islamophobia precisely because alienated mainstream Muslims are easier to radicalize than those who feel at home in secular countries.
Very good point. All the 2nd generation Muslim children that I know are as American as you and I, and would never want to go back to the repressive ways their parents left behind.
Some here will point to examples of radicalized Muslim youth that were born here, but I would put them in the same category as Dylan Roof, who went into a church in Charleston and shot nine people holding a Bible study. He was as much radicalized by white nationalist propaganda as any Muslim youth by ISIS websites.
pesident trump authorized the missile strike because “it is in the vital, national security interest of the united states to prevent and deter the use of deadly chemical weapons.” .

Sort of blows this leftists nonsense conspiracy theory away though.
Unless this was a clever ploy to create the illusion of tension between America and Russia, while only inflicting damage on Syria. Russia feigns anger, Trump shows toughness towards Russia. Bingo! No collusion, and Trump's popularity rises.
This conspiracy stuff is fun!

Simon: I find it laughable that you try to lecture me on my reaction to the random senseless killing of people, when I've seen no one on this OP even take time to express regret for the deaths of the people in Stockholm.
I have no love for Islam, but know that most Muslims are good people that would no more chop off your head or run you down with a truck than you or I.
Your insinuation that Muslims are some kind of robots that follow the Koran mindlessly and with no sense of morals is that of all bigots, imputing any faults of a small group as representing the entire spectrum of the larger group.
I'm not outraged at these posts, because that would imply that I'm shocked by what I see here. I see exactly what I expect to see when certain subjects are brought up. I would have exactly the same reaction if the target of these posts were any nationality or race.
I join these posts expecting to be attacked for not agreeing with you, but can only shake my head when you accuse me of existing in an echo chamber, when you yourselves keep repeating your mantra of Evil Islam.
I don't defend Islam when I comment here. I defend any group that I feel is being unfairly vilified by those who choose to take the actions of the worst and paint all with that brush. If you were saying the same things about any ethnic group, my responses would be the same.
Your tactics are to point out the indefensible acts of some Muslims, and mock any responses that point to positive actions by others. Very broadminded.
I'm not here to argue with you, because I know it's useless. So I'll just say what I think and be satisfied with that.

Please stay on topic. This thread is about the terrorist attack in Sweden.
My mistake, the lack of any empathy for the victims of this attack, and sadness for the tragedy, fooled me into thinking this was just another bash Islam OP.

If your theory is based on a smart government that requires cooperation between multiple branches and/or politicians and many people to keep their mouth shut, it's probably false.
Very true. You also run into the problem of which information can be absolutely confirmed. Unless there is a Secret Psychic branch of government we don't know about, there is no 100% foolproof method of determining which threats are most likely to occur. We simply don't have the manpower to check everything.

Such selective outrage! Funny that I see no OP's about the civilians being killed with sarin gas, and allied attacks in Mosul that killed hundreds. Oh wait... it was only Muslims dying, no big deal, less people to rape our women and chop our heads off. Can't let those babies grow up to be terrorists.

This would have been far more effective if done with the joint cooperation of other nations, sending the message that the whole world will respond to atrocities. I'm a little ambivalent about the correctness of the missile strike. My gut feeling is satisfaction that someone has paid for the loss of innocent life, but uncertainty that this will accomplish any change in the Syrian conflict. Assad must go, but can we control who takes his place? As we've discovered, nation building is a very uncertain process. Let's hope that Trump listens to the competent military commanders in his administration.

Let's all hope that he's caught soon before anybody is injured or killed. If he's holed up somewhere, at least he won't be out in the community, and when he does come out of hiding the chances of someone seeing him before he can do any damage are pretty good, particularly when everyone's on alert.

what can we make of this?
rice is on record being a racist and lying about benghazi, now this?
If you are a democrat or liberal could you ever honestly criticize Obama or Hillary? No. because then you would be here with me, being called alt right and other names simply for being critical of the party
I am more than happy to criticize Obama and Hillary when it's warranted. However, I will not sit quietly by when all the good they have done is totally ignored by the right, and they are smeared with totally, easily debunked lies.
The conservatives have been rehashing the same old tired talking points for years. We all know about Benghazi, the Emails, The Clinton Foundation, the speeches to big money, etc, etc. etc. All they are left with is a screwy claim of surveillance, bolstered by a laughable secret White House rendezvous reminiscent of a Don Knotts' film. Also screaming over Susan Rice requesting information that she is legally entitled to.
The White House considers finding out who leaked the information about Russia more important than investigating possible treason against our country. To me, this is akin to the DEA putting all their resources into finding out who leaked information about the Columbian drug cartel, rather than acting upon that information. Do any of you remember Deep Throat in the Watergate investigation? Should we have ignored the information he provided?
My definition of being liberal is desiring the most good for the most people, even if I personally don't benefit.
