the latest research article published at ajwrb estimates the number of jehovah's witnesses who have died from following or being coerced to follow watchtower's blood policy.
the numbers are staggering.

Has anyone here been in a congregation where someone was disfellowshipped for receiving a transfusion and later reinstated? I would certainly go that route if it meant saving the life of myself or a loved one.
I'm constantly amazed that people are willing to be disfellowshipped to get out of a bad marriage, yet will sacrifice their life to avoid a transfusion and subsequent disfellowshipping. Does the Bible say that one is beyond redemption if they accept blood?
the song is supposedly about marveling at god's creation but instead includes over the top adoration of the elders, conventions, and family worship.
lol getting a brother who sounds like a wannabe josh groban only adds to the cheesiness.

...........why would an all-powerful christ, whom the bible describes as having been given "all authority", need 144,000 other king/priests as "helpers" to run his universal organization?
(matthew 28:18) .
1 corinthians 15:25 - "for he [not 144,000] must rule as king until god has put all enemies under his feet.".
Also, their having been humans will enable them to understand and sympathize with us. They know what it means to be tired, worried, discouraged. They know the effort needed to become more patient, kind and merciful.
Unlike Jesus?
the second half of 1 corinthians 7:39 reads "...she is free to be married to whomever she wants, only in the lord.".
so we all know that scripture for being doctrine for witnesses when they select a marriage mate and how they are strictly encouraged to marry amongst themselves and look down upon or marked if they marry an outsider.
i have a friend who met a worldly man and when it came to light, her father gave her the option to end the relationship or to marry him, and she chose the latter.
I would think they'd welcome an opportunity to create another convert, when the wife showed the unbeliever how much better the JW lifestyle was.
Who wouldn't want to be one of the happiest people on Earth?
so as i sit here listening to the sunday morning bs session the elder on the stage yapped about religion and that there can only be one religion leading to god.
he used the illustration of a bicycle wheel.
it has many spokes and they all lead to the center.
Only having one spoke explains the veering in many directions and occasional crashes of Jehovah's chariot.
is it a common practice for jw parents to kick their children out of the home, if the child doesn't want to be a jw.
(even though their not disfellowshipped they will still get kicked out for not going to meetings etc.??).
do other religions encourage kicking family members out this as well?
I don't want to leave and live an immoral lifestyle either.
It depends upon your definition of immoral. I think it's immoral to abandon your children. Besides, believe it or not, you can be moral without being a Witness. I prefer people who are moral out of true conscience and principle, rather than fear, and there are far more of them than there are Witnesses.

wt february 2017 par.12, p.26:.
" the governing body is neither inspired nor infallible.
therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction.
When I find a religion whose prophesies are 100 percent correct, and whose policies and actions are wholly beneficial and wise, I would be inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt
so i was reading thru a fb feed about poor chester bennington and in relation chris cornell, there were some rather heated and unusual (or usual whatever you may think ) comments... no disrespect to believers but since leaving the jws i just see this type of discussion as lunacy.
... "chester is going to hell ,he killed himself so it's black and white in god's word ."..
"why would a loving god send a person who suffers from mental illness to hell?
Don't these people realize that they are reinforcing the idea of an unloving God?
