The Internet is worse for the Watchtower than 1975 was: here's proof.

i am translating jwfacts to spanish.

i am doing the "statistics" section.here are two graphs that show that the statistics have never been worse for the watchtower:quantity of hours required for 1 baptism: note how low it went in 1974-1975, and note that 2016 is much higher than the slump of 1978... about double, to be exact.

2016 was a historical record in this statistic (higher is worse for watchtower).. this stat is the baptisms as a percentage of the publisher average.

Internet or not, as long as you have people that are lonely misfits, have suffered unexplainable tragedy, or are just plain nuts, there will always be a certain segment of the population that will fall prey to the Organization.

That being said, aside from born ins, the loss of intelligent, informed people will take it's toll on the religion. You can't sustain an organization with only needy people.

If anything, the internet serves a purpose of allowing the curious to instantly confirm whether a doctrinal statement is defensible.

That alone will eventually thin the ranks, until the Organization is comprised of only born ins, the dysfunctional, and those in third world countries with no access to the information that will allow an informed decision.

Of course, that's just my opinion.

but why bluff with such boyish stupidity?

i think mr trumps barginings skills are at an all time low and so the threats of violence and retaliation for misbehaving according to the whims of a narcissist.. my confidence in him is at an all time low, talk about cave man club you over the head approach to problems this guy takes the cake.

You are correct that Trump's tiff with North Korea wouldn't fall under the above stipulations, but just as the feds got Al Capone for tax evasion rather than his other more horrific crimes, I'm sure that the Republicans can find some other reason to get rid of him by impeachment. God knows, he's given them many choices to select from.

I've heard no one suggest that North Korea should be allowed to have nuclear. ICBMs.

But now that they may have them, threatening preemptive strikes is unlikely to make them give them up.

I believe that this new threat should be met by extremely severe sanctions, beyond anything that has been done up till now. Only if this fails to bring Kim Jong Un to the negotiating table should more extreme measures be employed.

Its all just posturing, building up their own egos and getting world wide publicity with no intention of carrying out their threats ,yet at the same time keeping their core beliefs in the spotlight.

Exactly right! And the international community imposed even more sanctions on NK, backed by both Russia and China. It would have been nice to back off and give them a chance.

If I thought Trump had a real strategy, carefully thought out with his advisors, I would be less worried. As it is, he is again spouting off mindlessly, while his lackeys scramble about, trying to alleviate the damage.

Our problem is that Trump has no "skin in the game" There have never been any personal consequences to his actions.

The idea of having to kill someone to activate the codes would probably work with Trump. Given the way he fires individuals by proxy, I doubt he'd have the guts to kill someone with his own hands. This might even work with Kim Jong Un.

In the case of Putin, I think he'd readily kill someone without compunction. With him, I think you'd have to have him press a button that instantly erased all his billions stashed all over the world.

This is like saying no to having an infected appendix removed because it will hurt.

This is all well and good if you're willing to kill hundreds of thousands of South Koreans and possibly subject Japan to nuclear fallout on the unproven assumption that NK has nuclear missiles ready to go.

If you happened to be vacationing in Seoul with family and friends, would you be so ready to sacrifice your life and theirs on that assumption?

It's easy to be brave when you have nothing to lose.

Me and my schools band

so i made this to take off some of the anxiety of what i have to tell all my friends when i have to go to my band camp i have to go to.. so i play tuba in my school i love it i had made friends that are now close friends.so i am number 1 or 2 when it comes to how good we play so when placements for what band your in for next year i was put in to honors band my aunt said good job but when we went to the meeting for it she got mad saying she thinks it to much for me going into school early than i do staying at school later and some things she said was right but the thing that got her mad is that i might not be able to go to the meetings after home work etc and she went more into the jw things on school.. the thing that gets me mad is that know i have to think of a way to tell my friends that i im out of honors band because of jw reasons.. one more thing is i cant do many things i suck at sports and many more butt playing the tuba was the one thing i could say im good at than video games but it seems like at high school i might have to drop it :(.

If the rehearsals for band only occasionally conflict with meetings, I would encourage you to speak with the band director and explain your problem.

In my experience, allowances can be made if the director is aware of the dilemma, especially if you are an asset to the ensemble.

The only problem would be to miss a meeting due to a performance, but surely you could go to another hall for that particular meeting, on the rare occasion that a conflict arises.

After all, where did the musicians on the JW recordings come from? I suspect a great number were involved in music during their high school years.
