I've always come at the question from the viewpoint of Occam's Razor. When I try to wrap my mind around how the Trinity would work, smoke comes out of my ears. I can more easily imagine the Father/Son relationship, where the son takes over the family business.

It's right there in our faces, how could we NOT see it?
by NikL ini know there have been many many posts on here over the years on the deity of jesus.. i am submitting this one because i am feeling a little confused.. the thing is, i am not the sharpest knife in the drawer and i know this.
so when i am going through my bible reading (to all you haters, yes i still do it) i see so many scriptures that just fly in the face of everything the jws teach about jesus.. i begin to wonder if indeed i am diseased in the mind ,as they will try to paint me, because it seems so plain to me.. i never even gave it a though growing up as to if jesus and god were equal.
i just didn't.. now when i read scriptures like philippians 9.... 9 for this very reason, god exalted him to a superior position+ and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name,+ 10 so that in the name of jesus every knee should bend—of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground+— 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that jesus christ is lord+ to the glory of god the father.. .

German Foreign Office Issues Travel Warning For Sweden Due To Terrorism Risk. It would be funny if it were not true.
by kpop inwho would have thought that one simple expression, "last night in sweden" would suddenly shine the light on the cockroaches?
who would have thought so many people would laugh at the president for saying such a thing!

This is not necessarily true of all on this site, but I find that the right leaning comments on many of these threads tend to resemble examples of eisegesis rather than exegesis.

If the Organization had to rely on book, magazine, and paraphernalia sales, they would be gone by now.

Jehovah will clean his house first...
by tor1500 inwith all the stuff going on in the org.
that is not being said, many of the friends say, well, jehovah will clean his house first....with all this religious hiding of child abuse...what denomination was exposed/cleaned first...although they were forced they were exposed and many still go to these places of worship.

If it's not his house, there's no reason for him to clean it. When it gets dirty enough, sensible ones will get out of it.

Seems like sensible precautions to take when visiting any country. Doesn't exactly rise to the level of a national crisis.

Any atheists here? Have you come to terms with your new reality?
by kpop inalone, without my safety net of "god" being there to remember me when i die.
after much consideration, examining science, history and using logic, i have come to the conclusion that there is no "god" at least certainly no loving, personal "god.
" shortly before my final conclusion was reached, i read an excerpt from an expression attributed to marcus aurelius, .

The older I get, the less a state of oblivion bothers me. I do, however, feel sad when a life is cut short. All that potential lost.

What not to say...
by joey jojo inhey guys.
i was recently talking to a old friend who is a very active elder.
i was talking about ' the truth' and he suggested i sounded like an apostate because i used terms like ' the society' and ' watchtower '.. i am aware that ' dubspeak ' has changed over the years and i am pretty sure that someone posted about it here but i can't find the thread.

I think the term "the truth" is one of those titles that have become meaningless with repetition. I catch myself saying it without thinking after all those years of hearing it over and over. My wife is always correcting me when I say "the Watchtower" or "the society"' Old habits die hard.

THIS Is How Muslim Mother “Fixes” Rape Of 2-Year-Old Granddaughter By Grandfather
by Hecce insaw this dated 2/26/2017, seems to be from 12/2015.. .
even in a religious culture that advocates the murder of victims as honorable, fathers and brothers are typically the perpetrators of horrific violence against female family members whose only crime was to be the victim of another, the killing of a child by its mother stands out as particularly unnatural and depraved.such a heinous act occurred recently in sohag, egypt when a mother of a two-year-old child took the life of her child rather than protect it from violent sexual assault by its own grandfather.. a muslim mother identified only as “merfat” was awakened by screams in the middle of the night and found her father, faraj, in the act of raping her daughter.. .
rather than acting out of a natural, protective instinct, the 23-year-old mother chose to shield her father from scandal as taught by muslim theology and sharia law.. merfat told authorities that she took her daughter, little grace ahmed, from the grandfather, placed her in a tub and held her head under water until the child drown.. alik akhmim, chief detective of the police in sohag told egyptian reporters that “traces of blood” had been found in the little girl’s anus, evidencing the degree of force and injury the child endured at the hands of her mother’s father.. this kind of act is referred to as an “honor killing” thought to place the reputation of the family above that of any individual member, and which is used to punish the victim rather than hold the perpetrator accountable.. murdering rape victims is common in countries and communities that adhere to sharia law where the crime is rarely reported for fear of exposing the family to shame.. “honor killing” is no longer limited to predominantly muslim countries or the middle east.

Simon. You are certainly entitled to your opinion.
kpop. Tim pool's trip to Sweden was financed by Infowars, well known alt-right organization. After his visit he said " If this is the worst that Malmo has to offer, then don't ever come to Chicago."

kpop. Van Jones was commenting on the enthusiasm generated by the tribute to the fallen Navy Seal, which was truly moving. He was not praising the entire speech.

whatshallicallmyself. Hecce presented an article written by Raymond Ibriham, which contains many horrific details. I'm not disputing that. I researched the articles, and found most to be written by organizations with a definite right wing slant. Many are also attributed to Raymond himself, writing on behalf of the Catholic church. I'm not by any means denying that these crimes were committed by Muslims. I am saying that I could write a similar article on just about any ethnic group, if I wanted to take the time to amass the evidence. Yes, these crimes deserve the harshest punishment available. But they are being covered by people with an agenda. That's all I'm saying.
If Hecce had done all the research himself to come up with this information, I would give it more consideration. He simply copied an article by one individual.
Take note, I'm not defending Muslims here. I'm pointing out that the source Hecce used was very biased, slanted against Muslims. You have every right to disagree
