  Why aren't there windows in the KH?

  the last kh i attended, (faded) was built in 2014. there are no windows anywhere, although the front doors are glass.

  .

  it's nothing but a brown brick rectangle, as nondescript as possible as well.. any thoughts about why?.

  Origin of Life

  in recent years significant progress has been made in solving the question of how life originated on our planet.. how do you think theists will respond when it finally happens?

  as a former christian i know my reaction would have been something like "well that just goes to show that it takes intelligent life to make life", but for two reasons that defense doesn't work.. firstly it would prove that life is not an ethereal force that originates with god.

  there is no 'ghost in the machine', no elan vital.

  Nothing wrong with that "assumption" it's more of an extrapolation or estimation in what the result will be according to pattern we see here, as far as we have gone from explaining and discovering the functions of simple stuff like gravity, flight, matter composition to the development of life and astronomy, it's all consistent with the lack of belief in god/gods as we haven't found any intervention of any celestial supreme which was believed to cause all and more mentioned above in my comment.

  What's Is The Goal Of This Religion?

  what's is the goal of this religion?.

  i mean, if it's for money they could do a lot more like other religions do: tithing, paying for prayers from the gb, selling "miracles", selling "blessed" items, selling courses.. if its for power then what are they hoping to do with that power?

  It's like an Empire, The GB are the Emperors, they have no other goal than to keep the Empire stable, alive, and growing.

  They really don't know what they're doing and they are relying on their 1914 to delude themselves that everything is gonna be alright soon.

  these are the last days.

  satan is "roaring about", like a lion, with him and his demons "trapped" within the confines of earth.

  Who was the poster who predicted radical Watchtower change years ago?

  who was the poster, about 8 years ago, who came on the forum and claimed he had inside information that the gb were planning radical changes.

  he said that in ten years time jws would be unrecognisable.

  many were skeptical.

  in 1966 microbiologist kwang jeon was studying a population of amoebae in the lab when they began to die off unexpectedly.

  he noticed thousands of tiny dots in the cytoplasm of each individual which turned out to be a bacterial infection.

  most of them weakened and died but surprisingly a small percentage recovered and seemed to be back to normal.

  unbelievable paragraph in yesterday's watchtower was "encouraging" the sheep to not have kids.

  most of their growth comes from the born ins and they are still on about not having kids?.

  then it went on to "encourage" those that do have kids or grandkids not to spend to much time with them and instead to spend their time serving kingdom interests!.

  How Long Does This Religion Have Left?

  the generation that will be no means pass away have passed away.. the 144,000 were sealed up in 1935, oh, no wait, we got that wrong, we still have some.. russel is the faithful and wise servant... oh, no he wasn't it was me, rutherford... no, actually, we got that wrong it's knorr... erm, no we mean the governing body.. shunning is pagan, true christians would never do that (1946)... oh, actually, we should do that too.. the revelation book has been re-written.. the un is the satan's visible organisation.. wtbs signs up for fellowship with the un in 1991.. exposed in the guardian newspaper so ends it's fellowship in 2001.. the greatest man book is now obsolete and replaced with another jesus book.. the mags are reduced in pages.. encouraged to use tablets instead of actual books to save paper (money).

  halls being sold off.. congregations sharing halls.. society owned buildings being sold off.. video pertitioning for money only last year to fund a new building.. bethelites reduced.. missionaries sent back home.. young members leaving.. long time members discovering the history and leaving.. how long do you think this religion has left?

  i cant see it being here in another 100 years.

  The religion will be dead by 2040 - 2060, it will probably split or have another cult born out of it.

  That is, if religions as a whole don't die by this time.
