  has anyone else been told about this...... word out of hq bethel has it that the upcoming special international conventions will contain some kind of major information or releases.. we know the gb has been rather quiet the last couple years after their 'reorganizing'.

  perhaps because they are facing the sex abuse scandal..... but also likely they have been working on some fancy surprises for the upcoming special international conventions, to excite their masses......... and also try to detract them from the scandals.

  it would be good timing of their part.. this should be interesting......... .

  KM - "What to Say About the Magazines"

  i was just looking over some of the scans of the km; now, i haven't seen a km for almost ten years, so maybe this isn't that new: but when did they start providing publishers with a presentation for the wt and awake magazines?

  i remember sweating over my presentation every time new mags were featured.

  when did this start?.

  I am *truly* speechless. The GB becomes more arrogant with each passing year. And, sadly, the weak-minded Dubs are, as stichione said, spoon-fed as babies are.

  Ascot - I'm not sure which order you have them hooked up in; but make sure your cable is coming into your VCR; you may even want to unhook the DVD entirely for taping. Play around with it and see what works. :)

  **edited to add: also, this may go without saying but when I unplug my VCR I have to autoset all the channels again after plugging it in.

  i just want to pass a message along that if anyone watches cbc's "the fifth estate" on wednesday, january 22, 2003 (that's this wednesday night), they should see a promotion for the upcoming jehovah's witness child abuse show at 9:00pm, next wednesday, january 29, 2003.. the promotion should be aired at or near the end of the show - around 9:50 to 9:55 pm on january 22.

  Bendrr - probably after the show has aired, you will be able to follow the Fifth Estate links to the story which should have a clickable link which will launch Media Player and show at least a clip of the show.

  i always look for good websites for my students to view and since today is mlk day i was in search of a good one for them to look at this week.

  this one is from stanford university and has lots of documents, an interactive chronology, audio, quotes, etc... if the story of his life interests you then i highly recommend it.

  when you went out in service with a group, did you alternate whose call it was, with each house?

  or did you have to keep knocking until you found someone at home, then move on to the next person in the group?.

  we did it the former way; and thank goodness for rural territories!!
