I believe there is a creator. I do not believe in the God of the bible. I have always felt the God of the bible is simply evil. I feel i would be the same JW or not.

I would not wish for something selfish as I feel life should be lived without regret. I would just wish that every child in the world had shelter, food, and a loving family to come home to. That is my wish because adults can choose their own paths but if children are stuck and don't have a choice.

i ran around the house trying if i could find any of my beloved and very needed friends, i even went outside and searched my car, my jackets were scrutinized seeing if i somehow had managed to hide some sweet treat in there.

Viv have you ever smoked Andron's? I bought a pack of the black and gold ones at the local smoke shop just to give them a try because I generally don't like the taste of a ciggerate. I have to say they are better than the American Brands but still makes your mouth taste gross. I was surprised though that they are the same price as a regular pack of marbollos here.

In the SUV thread, us 'liberals' gave the reasons why we didn't care for SUV's. I don't recall anyone saying "I hate them because I can't afford one." Conservatives love strawman arguments, don't you. I don't know anyone who would be insane enough to 'hate' someone for the car they drove. The only deal with the SUV thing is that it might be a good idea to drive something a little more fuel efficient these days. You guys create caricatures in your head of what you believe other people think and then bash them for it.
The only disagreement Republicans have is the goverment should not tell them what kind of vehicle to drive. If they charge $5.00 a gallon for gas and I still want to drive my SUV that gets 8 miles to the gallon that is my right.
And you say that it is insane to hate someone for the kind of car they drive I agree but in Blue Sapphires post she states she hates her husbands boss for buying new Mercedes is that not hating someone for what they drive?
Democrats not only hate people for they drive but for whatever they may happen to have. You feel that the rich should just give their money away and hate them for being rich, you ( as in liberals) have stated that several times in this thread.

Why is it that you must resort to slander of our President. I mean at least when Clinton was in office I would always say the man committed purjury (which last time I checked was illegal) but you guys pull out the he's an idiot card can't you come up with logical things and have an adult conversation. This is quite childish IMO.

The Horror! It must be awful to get to have time to spend with your family. What a bunch of losers. Thank God I live in a country where I work 50 hrs a week 'succeeding' and don't have to take any nasty ole vacations. I have a friend in germany. I know she hates having her life regulated and having to take 2 week vacations in the black forest as well as having 3 more weeks of vacation to dispose of. Oh well, at least my tax bill is a lower.
You have the right to succeed. In Europe you can not open a small corporation with all the legalities there. There is no
entrepreneurship in Europe. Yeah they get vacations but they don't get the since of knowing what they have done. The feeling of success. I personally would choose having my own business and being able to know I have made a success out of my life over some regulated time off and the goverment telling me what to do and live my life and that my money should be given to my neighbor instead of me.

The report was done on a Major news station about 3 years back. I can't remember which one but it was quite interesting. It talked about how behind Europe was technology wise to United States becasue people are not allowed to work long hours everything is regulated. You have to take so much vacation per year. You are only allowed to work 35 hours a week. There is no strive because your whole life is regulated. You are told what you are going to do and how you are going to live.
