Each must answer as they feel...
Honestly the concept is new to me, that's why I asked about it. Anyways, I'm not expecting an answer, some folks don't want to discuss the same things I want to discuss.
as do a hundred other images kicking my head from falluja and ramadi and cote de ivoire.
what else can you say though, but "jesus christ!"?.

Certainly not, and that's why I would not call him/her/it "God" (capital). As I said, I don't know whom I pray to (sometimes). Probably nobody. I just notice in some situations I do feel like praying. That's all.
Am I being intrusive? It's just that I have never heard of someone praying, and it not being to a god. Prayer, as I've learned it to mean, is a petition/supplication to God.
so the prelude to this wee trip starts with work - doesn't it always.. as part of my recent job change i had to write a paper that needed agreement with most of the local authorities (health board, council - which is kinda like our version of city hall, etc.
) before it gets submitted to the ministers at the scottish parliment at the end of december.. well, after one long round of consultation (during which i produced a 39 page consultation document), another few weeks creating the first draft (another 27 pages) i was all ready to go to press the next day when i got an eleventh hour email (at 5:30pm, just before i went home).
it changed everything!
LT-
For one thing, it widens out my opportunities to tell lots of people about the JW's.
Because it's multi-denominational I can get to a wide range of church groups.
It's just my part in the war, and one that I've not told many about, because I don't tend to like to blow my own trumpet
Well I'm glad to learn this. Good for you, and good luck!
I genuinely hope that the WTS may one day come to rue the day that they taught me how to speak publically!Yeah, I'm thinking about using that training in the political arena ..
The Public Talk was just a beginning!

I can pray. I can't help praying. Whom I pray to I don't know, but I would not call him God.
"God" is merely a title, like "pharoah" or "president". The entity that you pray too, do you see him/her/it as "almighty", "loving", "all-knowing"? If so, the same complaints can be registered regardless of title.
As humans we would be appalled if a parent allowed his child to be killed when he could easily stop it. So, yes, we have a difficult time understanding why "God" is doing that very thing. Hopefully he understands that we have nothing else to compare him/her/it to but ourselves.

I graduated on Thursday, as an evangelist
Wow.. so what does this mean for you?
well, i have confirmed rumors that have gone around about there being no annual service report for the january 1st, 2005 issue.. .
it seems, for reasons unknown, that the watchtower has ended another decades long tradition.
in the second study article for the january 1st, 2005 watchtower, entitled, "trained to give a thorough witness," paragraph 24 reads: .
I blame the Internets..

i am curious: any here believe that jesus could have been married to mary magdalene?
.
Jesus came for one purpose only.....to sacrafice his life as an exchange for many. His time here was not for having a wife, kids, a job, or anything else but to lay down his life.
He only preached for a couple years though. During that time, he DID have a job as a carpenter. A wife seems reasonable too. If I remember right, he didn't ALWAYS know what his "purpose" was. Wasn't that revealed to him when he was baptized? If so, why would he not have married before this?

..and if Jesus was married, is that a bad thing to anyone?
