I just want to say that just because many of us aren't JW's doesn't mean that we no longer believe in God or Jesus. As far as not having faith in a church. . so what if we don't? I think that people can have faith in God and not in a church.
As far as not believing in a creator, I don't (or unsure either way), not because of the JW's but because of studying various Sciences (which JW's do discourage). I do believe in Jesus, but he was most likely a very charasmatic, well- spoken man, and not neccessarily godlike.
I ditto Sirona's thought though about us not being "lost". I am more clear about things now than I've ever been.

Born into it
by A Paduan in.
do those of you who were born into it feel that your parents did what they believed in their hearts was love for their children, or do you think they warrant a serious kick in the backside?.

Catholics cannonized the Bible, right?
by StinkyPantz inisn't it true that the roman catholic church put together the bible (canonized the books), and decided the order and all that?
if this isn't true set me straight please.. what do the witnesses think about this?
is it (the bible) just as valid if part of "christendom" decided which books of the bible would be included?

Thanks for all the answers.
But, I was mainly wondering what JW's thought about this information. Have they just accepted the books that the Catholics chose to include? Aren't they afraid that this false religion didn't include the right books or altered them?

What do the Witnesses think about this? Is it (the Bible) just as valid if part of "Christendom" decided which books of the Bible would be included? What about the "gospel" accounts that were not included? How'd they choose which ones were holy enough to be considered a part of God's Word? And what if they left out a book that should've been in, couldn't that potentially be catastrophic for mankind?

Comforter-
I think that if there is a God, he doesn't mind that we imperfect humans aren't getting his name quite right.
Besides that I must agree with this statement:
Elsewhere thinks that the reason people want to live is because evolution programmed the desire for survival in us.
It is embedded in most animals. . that is survival. We want to survive as long as possible. As for living forever, I do not believe that most people want this. Living for a very long time is cool, but would eventually get monotonous and boring. Even if the Earth was made into a paradise, that would be cool, but would get boring even quicker.
But if there is a God, he'll let all of us know one day.
