Something very sad is that there has been a high incidence of sexual abuse of children. The brothers in the Spanish were more prone to listen to the elders advice and keep things "quiet'; that together with the fact many offenders have fled to other countries has resulted in many victims without any recourse or needed help.

Thanks for your comments.
Hispanics are no different that the american JWs and the great majority are in, as stated for the "social club". The zeal and work ethic that they had before is gone and a lot of them are opening their eyes to the constant financial abuses and demands.

I will like to share some facts about the Spanish Congregations in USA. There is a feeling that there is a lot of increase among Hispanics and that is a mistake.
The growth in the Spanish Congregations is stagnant, it was massive during the 90s but for the last few years mostly children and relatives of the publishers are coming in as new publishers.
The Hispanics are a subservient class to the English speaking witnesses, when there is work to be done they will always be assigned to do the manual and heavy labor. It is very difficult for a Hispanic to be supervising Anglo brothers.
The same applies to the operation the KHs that are normally shared by the two groups, an American brother will mostly be the determining force in all the decisions that are taken.
Something that is worth mentioning is that a lot of the Spanish Brothers in positions of authority are “little Caesars” and are quite abusive to the flock.
There is a lot more to be said but I think that this is enough for know.
Thanks for reading

Where the need is greater: TTATT in Spanish
by Londo111 init seems most of the us growth is in spanish-speaking territory, and of course, there is growth in the nations where spanish is the predominant language.
most sites oriented around ttatt, are english-speaking.
there seems then to be a great need for translators...for instance, imagine if there was a spanish version of www.jwfacts.com.. unfortunately, i dont speak this language.

Sorry but there is an excellent Spanish EXJWs Forum at this link:
It is like a Spanish version of this site and most of the information that is being discussed for translation is already there, I invite the friends that can read Spanish to visit this place and verify for yourselves.

If possible read the life experience of the Owners/Adm. Their names are David and Mary Fuentes, ex CO and Bethelites.

The End of Circuit Overseers
by scotsman inis indeed apparently nigh as another poster predicted along with the end of the weekly bs.
not sure when this should take place but i'm reliably informed by a family member that one of the uk's overseers was talking about it fairly recently.
reduced to weekend visits by an outside but local elder instead.. i have no further info..

BobNC and Phizzy
Please consider this: we were used to the motivational talks by the COs and some of them were excellent at this; that is no longer the case, instead of preparing their material like in the old days; every word that comes out of their mouths is provided by the Branch. They are just readers; a younger CO can do this as well as the experienced ones.
As far as enforcement, the inexperienced and zealous ones will be even worse that the actual COs.
They are not at the point of making a full transition to part time COs but the concept is being tested in some other countries.
At any rate, this is no longer a matter of speculation; most of the older and experienced ones are gone. Keep in mind that the WT is going to be receiving the same amount of revenue as before for the insurance of the COs with tremendous savings in expenses.
Regards

Bringing this topic to our current days, I will add that last September the majority of the travelling overseers over 65 were sent packing; they got assignments as Sp Pio and were dumped at local congregations.
This seems to be related to Obamacare and Medicare, it was a cost saving measure; not sure of the details but that is what I heard.
Needless to say some of the dismissed ones are putting a nice face but are full of resentment about what they consider a “broken promise”.

WATCHTOWER IN A PANIC!
by JW GoneBad injws are in need of more kingdom halls in many major u.s. cities.
at this years agm where it is expected that most of the faithful will be able to listen to the meeting (being tied in by video), dont be surprised if the wts 8 gb members take part in a symposium delivering some long winded appeal, petition, plea, proposal, proposition, solicitation or otherwise hit-on the masses for $$$ in order to lighten the burden and overuse that many kingdom halls are experiencing.
an acquaintance from the west coast mentioned to me that in late august thru early september of this year that a number of pow-wows involving close to 5,000 elders from numerous areas (riverside, los angeles, ventura and orange counties) took place to drum up financial support from the 800+ (not sure) congregations in those areas.

Answering your logical question I will tell you that as far as reading I not new, I have been taking my nourishment from this site for many years. I am “hot and cold” and sometimes I become so fed up from the abuses that I stay away for a time, somehow I always come back to take a peek.
Right now I am so incensed with what is happening that I decided to put my two cents worth.
The situation is even worse that what anyone could imagine, the normal process of deliberations and presentations of resolutions is completely broken (that process was a sham in itself). When the elders attend these gigantic meetings and there are pitched about a project like this they are asked during a recess to gather as a body in a short meeting and make a decision as to the merits of the project; naturally the response is 101 positive, after that the project is deemed as approved and the elders just go back and inform the congregation.
The Const. Com. Is also pushing remodeling to the KHs that are free and clear and saddling the congregations with new loans payable over a period of ten years, there is no interest in the loans but the cost of the work is very expensive and the local brother don’t have any other option than what the CC wants.
Bad, bad, bad.

The whole thing is a scam, there is no need for new Kingdom Halls in Southern California; the existing ones are mostly with dwindling attendance and in need of consolidating congregations. The whole thing is a racket with the assistance of the Construction Committees, the arrangement has been now in place for about three months; after the initial survey the congregations started reporting to the CC the amount of funds that were collected in the special box, they have to tell them how much was the monthly contribution and also the running total. Up to know the money is staying with the local congregations but the CC has a record of how much money has been contributed. They are very serious about these records and every month the Congregation will get a reminder if their report is late. The brothers are in reality voting with their pockets, what is going into the contribution box is not near what was promised and every month is less and less.
These is just similar to the government imposing a tax on people, voluntary my foot.
For your information I am legit and know very well what I am saying.
Thanks

Thanks McRubber
I have been reading for a long time but didn't dare to post, so I am a baby.
My personal opinion is that the GB has done away with any considerations for the feelings and beliefs of the older generation of JWs, they are to be sacrified and a new flock should be welcomed. It is not the first time in history that they have done this but I don't think that it is going to work with all the flow of information available on the net.
