As to the picture, it seems like it was here in the State preparing for the visit, if I remember Awake has some actual pictures with the Cuban authorities.

This was a true event, it goes back to the negotiations with the Cuban Government asking for the relaxation of the persecution of the JWs; it goes back to the 90s, maybe 1997.
Loesch, Barry and Barr were there and I think that Awake has a report on this matter.

Interesting observation: As time goes on......it seems the jehovah witness will be shortened to JW
by goingthruthemotions inmaybe it's just me, but i do believe that the jehovah witness brand as we know it will be solely jw or jw .
org eventually.. the reason being is because if you do a search on google or youtube for jehovah witness.
so much bad publicity.

), why can't we find out who the wtbts hired to aid in their rebranding efforts?
we know all about the rc and monica applewhite for jeehoober's sake, so why in the hell can't we find out who is behind the rebranding?

In that memorable conversation my friend told me that they were trying to become like the evangelical churches; from what I am seeing I think that they are going to end up with a blend of Mormons and evangelicals. -

Well the information is bad, that we know; as far as delivery the guy is making an effort and I am sure that the audience is eating every word that he is saying. Remember that this guy has an interesting background with I think German as his native language and Italian, English and some Spanish added. -

About ten years ago I was told by a Bethel "heavy" about the re branding, everything that he told me is little by little coming thruth. He anticipated major doctrinal changes starting with birthdays and some where in the very, very distant future tackling the blood issue and the shunning.

Did you participate in a Drama?
by Hecce ini am bringing this up because even it was a lot of work, for the majority of the friends this was a rewarding experience.
camaraderie, joking, costumes, props and when the time came the celebrity status of being in the drama.. back in the 50s and 60s, conventions could be as long as 8 days and from about 1966 the dramas became an integral part of the program.
we had one per day and the brothers looked forward to their presentation.

The Law of Unintended Consequences

and i suspect folks like anthony morris thinks his flock is not obedient or strict enough and there are many rules and teachings the governing body would love to enact but do not have the votes, or even they have the sense enough to know it would go too far.
however, i can’t help how by the time their edicts filter down to the rank and file jw, it causes unintended consequences.

The people in the knowing, what I will call mature are not buying the divinity of the GB. For the majority of them the DS doctrine was already suspicious and if you kill that one then you are stabbing the new understanding. The personalities of the GB are so weird that they are not likable or persuasive. -

Your feelings for the former travelling overseers
by Hecce induring our wt life we met a good number of friends involved in the circuit and district work.
i am sure that we share the same experience and that we remember fondly some that we caring, loving and generally interested in the brothers.
at the same time we might remember others that were arrogant, selfish, abusive and oppressive.
