  i am going to engage on a trip to the past and share with you some of the matters that marked the beginning of the jws persecution in cuba.

  you will be surprised that the pattern that was followed is very similar to what happened in other dictatorial countries.. in the cuban case, i am going to surprise you and tell you that like what happened with hitler; the wt was partially responsible for their clash and confrontation with the cuban government.

  during the early 60s the revolution was fighting for survival and they were willing and ready to demolish any perceived enemy to their cause.. a prime example was their war against the catholic church that was the most influential religious entity in the country; it took the supreme leader only a few public discourses to send the vast majority of clergy packing and back to their country, in this case spain.. the jehovah’s witnesses were an insignificant minority but they over estimated their importance and displayed a belligerent attitude, it was known that this was a us based religion and an easy target to connect them with the cia.

  that admission in the feb.17 ,study edition of the watchtower , " who is leading gods people today ?

  " "the governing body is neither inspired, nor infallible, therefore it (they/we) can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction .".

  have the many jehovahs witnesses past and present who have lost their lives by refusing blood transfusions due to the prohibition on blood tranfusions by jehovahs witnesses really got the sense of this statement ?.

  Jehovah’s Witnesses do not claim to be inspired prophets. They
  have made mistakes. Like the apostles of Jesus Christ, they have at
  times had some wrong expectations.—Luke 19:11; Acts 1:6.
  The Scriptures provide time elements related to Christ’s
  presence, and Jehovah’s Witnesses have studied these with keen

  as to fulfillment of Jehovah’s purposes. They have continued to
  keep to the fore in their thinking the counsel given by Jesus: “Keep
  on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your
  Lord is coming.”—Matt. 24:42.

  The standards for the WT have changed, for some of us we are looking at the WT as just another religion and applying the same norms of a society where "so what" and "what a difference does it make" are the common rule. That is not the way that the majority used to view the WT when they pretended to be THE TRUTH.

  Your feelings for the former travelling overseers

  during our wt life we met a good number of friends involved in the circuit and district work.

  i am sure that we share the same experience and that we remember fondly some that we caring, loving and generally interested in the brothers.

  at the same time we might remember others that were arrogant, selfish, abusive and oppressive.

  a friend of mine told me about a huge elders meeting in southern california.

  the subject was the relocation and dissolution of some congregations; it seems that this is the result of some project that has been going on for some time and is going to be implemented right now.. please let me know if this is happening all over the country?.

  whenever our hall had ANYTHING above a few months expenses, they voted to send it back east to the borg

  This was a situation that varied from place to place, some were doing it that way and others kept the funds; they had at that time the freedom of choice do to that.

  the subject was the relocation and dissolution of some congregations; it seems that this is the result of some project that has been going on for some time and is going to be implemented right now.. please let me know if this is happening all over the country?.

  Expanding more on the last comment, before the RBC arrangement; KHs and AHs were started and managed by local brothers. It was a less expensive proposition and they were nicer than the "shoe box" model that is common today.

  Spain: A group of elder requires clarification to Ministry of Justice regarding sexual molestors

  letter sent today to the ministry of justice... .

  spain bethel sent a letter recently last oct 3 interpreting that no elder or sm should request a certificate of sexual offenses as other churches or persons in contact with kids.

  again jw.org interprets the law to their behalf.. a group of elders in madrid has sent this letter to ask clarification !!.
