  Kingdom Halls open to hurricane flood victims??

  there are other threads dealing with jws actions, or non-actions in response to the houston flooding.

  i started this thread to find out specifically if kingdom halls, or assembly halls are being used to help victims.

  not just other jws, but innocent victims of all walks: men, women, children & pets.

  The top dogs in that part of the world were the Japanese, they invaded Korea around the 16 century and were constantly raiding their towns and seaports. Finally they conquered the peninsula at the end of the 19th century, deposed the emperor and made Korea and portions of China puppet states.

  Japan was defanged after WW2 but with time everything changes and who knows, it might in the strategic interest of the US to let Japan rearm again.

  If they open the KH for the brothers, they will have to do it for everybody. They had a golden opportunity on 9/11 by opening Bethel and they didn't do it, the goodwill and good publicity out of that was invaluable besides the human and compassion factor, but they couldn't see it.

  I will be surprised if they open the Halls, but I could be wrong.

  I know that is a very simplistic approach for big problem, maybe our big brains can figure out how to cyber sabotage those missiles and installation. I think that something like this was done with Iran.

  There was a point in Korean War when the US and SK pushed all the way to the Chinese border. Mao hit back with a vengeance. After that the US military were unwilling to take the war north of the 38th parallel.

  And this one was General MacArthur biggest blunder, ignoring the civil authorities and acting like he was really an Emperor. WW3 was almost started; after the ensuing stalemate everyone kind of chickened out. There are no easy solutions, used to be that we will quiet NK with food and money; now they are really dangerous.

  I fault dwight for giving in and not finishing it and the world community as whole for quiting, although in the wake of WW2 the lack of appetite for armed conflict is understandable.

  The Eisenhower Administration inherited the war, the situation is one that has never changed; the risk of all out war was and is having to fight China and back then also Russia.

  The big mistake was made during the 90s when NK was allowed to gain the capability for nuclear weapons, the politicians that made those decisions have a big D after their names. It is very unfair to blame Dwight or Donald for someone's else mess.

  “Gone With the Wind” will be gone from The Orpheum’s summer movie series, the theater’s board said Friday.

  I posted a link to this information, I was wondering what is going to happen with "Roots"; GWTW is child's play compared to Roots and the later served back in the 70s to awake a lot of people to the horrors of slavery.

  I guess that it will have to be banned.

  GWTW was historical in many aspects, one of them was that Hattie McDonald became the first African American actress to win an Oscar.
