One brief comment regarding the transition from the historical Overseers to the new breed. I have met some of the new ones, and they are very well prepared and have some very impressive tools at their disposal.
One negative item is that there is very little that they can do on their own, everything is prepared ahead of time and for every single decsion to be made they have to call in mother.
Still they are good very good training.

I believe that the WT knows that they are in trouble and the their old business model is no longer working. Numbers were at the core of their operation, they instilled an spirit of goals and even competition in the congregation.
Now the numbers have been dwindling and they are no longer used as a measure of spiritual health or growth, one of the most relevant ones that was discontinued was meeting attendance; this was as a result of a decrease in numbers.
