for about 13 years the extj forum was probably the main instrument for that endeavor, sadly the couple sponsoring that site decided to close it at the end of last year.
it seems like they were overwhelmed with personal obligations and responsibilities; they were covering a 100% of the expenses without any outside cooperation or publicity.. after the closing of their forum, some of the friends started new sites to keep the flow of information alive.

The old EXTJ forum was Florida based with a heavy Spanish speaking international presence, the Spaniards were the most active participants but very few of them had any command of the English and were not connected with this site. Some of the US based were bilinguals and a few of them visited this forum, a minority.

One comment that might be a repetition of the obvious is that it is a thankless job being a Forum administrator. Not too many people have the skills and character to succeed.

Now if you want to talk about exaggeration and judgement, look at what this newcomer is saying when comparing Spanish Forums with the English ones:

Hecce The quality of the sites in Spanish in facebook as in Google+, is not surpassed by any English group, it is, the scope is much greater, since it is social networks with many more followers than the particular blogs.
I visited the sites that he suggested and I was not impressed at all, I invite our Spanish speaking friends to go in and give their opinion about the high quality of those places. That is exactly the point, we have some quality sites with participants that were traveling overseers, members of the Bethel family, some of them still are. There is credible information coming in, like announcements and letters being published before they are made public. There is a big difference between that type of operation and just getting together to repeat constantly that the Watchtower is "bad".

I agree with David Blanco, there are many places to discuss in Spanish and this has been the same for years.
You are telling the truth as to the existence of many places in English and Spanish related to the WT, but is the quality of the site what is important. The EXTJ forum and then your site were both high quality and that might be a reason as to why they are missed.

In comparison with the local churches the WT used to be very aggressive in the Spanish communities . Those roles have been reversed, on weekends you will find the evangelicals churches full of happy people and the KH stagnant with robotic members. The evangelicals are providing services full of music, children's services, games, family fairs and outings and a lot of fun activities. At the KH you have the same stale meetings sprinkled with occasional videos and appearances from the Holy Seven.
Used to be that evangelicals were fleeced by the churches and they still are but right now there is even more fleecing at the KH.
To make it short, things don't look good at all.
