Hi Satanus, we both know how Islam 570 AD to 620 Birth? Islam massive expansion precedes the Crusades by 600 years and how did this religion treat Christians, Jews, Zoroastrianism, Hindus, ect. there are stong emotional writings that describe the events of such, but few peole have very much evidence other then videos of (seemingly) random cars and such.. i ask because i was a rather involved member of the organization and have happily been god-free for 15 years.

Reasons vary but it's usually a good hunch the detectives (concerned elders and friends from the Hall)have for sitting out in front of your girlfriend or lover's house all night. I used this trick on my best friend, I knew he was cheating on his wife and she was crying at home while he was playing the field. My motives were simple, I wanted revenge for her, stuck sitting with twin babbies six months old and four others under the age of seven. It's best (in case your kingdom hall has a boe who love the sheep(1/100 halls?)) to blame a brother or sister that stopped coming to meetings years ago for some contrieved reason and the squad won't park their equipment outside your house or inside!

The best excuse is the "Depression Card", it's almost 100% full-proof in keeping good JW elders and pious pioneers and publishers away from your infectious home! The Depression Card differ's from the Disfellowshiped card in one area, Disfellowshiped Publishers get a visit once a year to see if the elders can do anything to help them come back to the Kingdom Hall. The depressed card will keep the Witnesses away from your home until you are strong enough to come to the Kingdom Hall, thus proving your condition is not contagious!

"Stasi" the hardcore Secret Police of East Germany that turned everyone on everyone and reported everyone and everything they saw to avoid suspicion on their self. Families could fall if a husband or wife or kids told lies about you, lies put people in prison camps. The Stasi situation in East Germany created tattle-tales by purging the country of freedom of thought or speech, everyone had to comply with their Organization in East Germany and those who failed were written up on little cards (publisher cards?) kept in the archieves of East Germany's police and government branch. JWs were told from headquarters "do not preach to muslims in the door to door ministry" or you will be thrown out of the country by their fragile government. You can validate the information about the "Tower of Brooklyn" putting out memos "not to preach to Muslims in French Algeria", I know a couple of 90 year old men who were in the middle east during WW2 and once you left the zone of French, British or American protection it was a jungle, Muslims would kill other Muslims who were not part of their clan. It's the same way with the LDS Church, when was the last time (besides a 1950s article) you see the Tower calling Mormons a "cult" in print? The "LDS Church" has inside information about the Tower because there are some who say they had the same source to help them as "start up' religions!

It's been thirteen years since Simon wrote this post and what actions has the Tower taken to enable more dialog?

1. The Tower removed the "Book Study" group and this killed off any outside study we talked about, with our small groups over cake and coffee.

2. The Tower streamlined the Magazines to a simpleton style, made it so you must "parrot" their answers in 30 Seconds Or Less.

3. Lied about their involvement with the United Nations as a Partner.

4. Instead of becoming more progressive, the Tower has bolted down their doors and hiding from the real issues that are hurting a large amount of their membership.

5. Who would have thought we would have been harboring pedophiles in Jehovah's Clean Congregation? We are getting worse as time goes by and the love that once existed has gone out the window!

Ray Franz wrote in his book "In Search Of Christian Freedom" there is a reason the Watchtower has behaved cowardly around this subject when one compares their hateful words to Christendom. He provides examples of Jehovah Witnesses riding the coat-tails of Christendoms Missionaries who paved the way in many African Countries and why the Watchtower fails miserably in a Country where Christendom never stuck their foot in.

Missionaries from Christendom over the ages have preached without fear in Islamic Countries, Jehovah's Witnesses are there to preach to Christians who learned about Christ from the courageous missionaires Christendom and all those evil Bible Societies sent out Pre-WTS. Franz notes how little progress the Witnesses make in lands of Islam, is that why the Apostles of the Watchtower like to use the term "Community Guilt"? This excuses them from preaching in countries they are afraid to? What about "the bold Witness that goes forth througout the Earth", it stops in all countries Christendom failed to prepare for the Witnesses to preach in. Where would the WTS be without the aid of Christendom and all those "non Christian preachers', the new magazine fails to mention in July 15th, 2013 magazine.

The Magazine states once the apostles died, the field of Christians went into suspended animation until the pure truths of Rutherford and his gang showed up on earth. The Earth was meant to give birth to Rutherford (The Modern Jesus Using WT Reasoning). Russell is "John The Baptist" and by default that makes "Rutherford" the modern day "Jesus".

Hi Fernando, the latest fatal blunder the Watchtower made is in their July 15th, 2013 Magazine where they disown the Annointed, preach a "Rapture of the Governing Body" and finally show with hocus pokus they do not know what time period we are living in. Please check out the new Magazine my brother, it makes me scared to think I was once part of that nightmare! Fernando I have tried over and over to find good in this Organization over the others I am studying in Christendom, I want to think we were not taught all lies and part with good points.

The minds and hearts in many Kingdom Halls are turning to stone, there is not much love anymore and if there is it's applied only to those handpicked. Compare that with Jesus sayings of "What good is it if you love only those who love you?" How much better are the Jehovah Witness members who practice this selfish love, if they practice it at all? Love is becoming a scare emotional resource in their Kingdom Halls, the one quality that could prove they had Jesus Christ backing, and they are using "Prophecy Interpretation and Physical Sacrifices" like the ancient Jews of old did.

Jesus said to "Continue to love your enemies" the Watchtower say's they would "love to kill the people who disagree with them" while crying to the United Nations others are harming members of churches who leave the church of their birth to join the Watchtower. The Watchtower want's to kill members who leave for good reasons and want's the United Nations to protect members of Christendom whose church want's to practice Watchtower's evil speech?

Thank's for the good work on the Org book, once again the "Famous Scholars of the Watchtower" have caused more problems than solved with their followers. I spoke with one of the smartest pro-JW apologist I know, he was at a loss of words and said it would take him two weeks to a month to decipher and sink in his head!' Wow, their own apologist are scratching their heads in embarassment and shame? This guy who I still talk to is on another level and he is confused by their Bafflegab Magazine? Whoah!

Lar's brings up another point we need to address.

Jerome of the 400s was commissioned to write the Latin Vulgate and he translated all 14 books Lars speaks of. The KJV translated none of those books and the Catholic Duay kept 11 books. What is the conspiracy behind the leaving out these books found in the Greek Septuagint?

I read the Apocrypha because we had a Duay Version in our home and asked the same questions Lars did, I was not shocked to learn the reasons why the Early Church refused to make the books into Bible Cannon. The debates that followed in the councils to decide what is the Bible was intense, I thought the Church Fathers were rather conservative and did their best to determine what is Gospel and what is not. It beg's the question, if God is Almighty, he should have no problem keeping the message he wanted to get to his people throughout the ages to his people.

If Satan and God are equal, than the Bible would be composed of half Satan's works and half Jehovah's works, I do not believe that to be the case, I think Jehovah has the power to do what he desires to do! Jesus warned us of potential threats to our spiritual being while encouraging us that "he would be with us till the end of the Age", I believe the Holy Spirit Jesus went to have to pour out upon us has kept the Bible clean.

Apocrypha, term coined by the 5th-century biblical scholar Saint Jerome for the biblical books received by the church of his time as part of the Greek version of the Old Testament (see Septuagint), but not included in the Hebrew Bible.
Derived from the period 300 BC to New Testament times, the books of the Apocrypha included Judith, the Wisdom of Solomon, Tobit, Sirach (Ecclesiasticus), Baruch, and the two books of Maccabees. Also generally included with the Apocrypha are the two books of Esdras, additions to the Book of Esther ( Esther 10:4-10 ), additions to the Book of Daniel ( Daniel 3:24-90 ;13;14), and the Prayer of Manasseh.
Roman Catholic and Orthodox Christians include all the Apocrypha in the biblical canon, except for the two books of Esdras and the Prayer of Manasseh. They generally refer to the Protestant Apocrypha as deuterocanonical books, and reserve the term Apocrypha for those books entirely outside the biblical canon, which Protestants call the Pseudepigrapha.
The Reasons the Protestant Church excludes them is as follows:
1. The early church fathers only accepted the thirty-nine books of the Old Testament. The only exception was Augustine (A. D. 400) who included the books of the Apocrypha (those "extra" books that some Bibles include between the books of the Old and New Testaments). However, he did acknowledge that they were not fully authoritative.
2. The books of the Apocrypha were not officially recognized as part of the canon until the Council of Trent (A.D. 1546) and then only by the Roman Catholic church.
3. There are some 250 quotes from Old Testament books in the New Testament by the writers of the New Testament, but none from the Apocrypha. All Old Testament books are quoted except Esther, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon.
4. In Luke 11:51 , the Lord said something definitive about the extent of the canon of the Old Testament which He accepted. In condemning the leaders of the Jewish people for killing God's messengers throughout their history, He charged them of being guilty of shedding the blood of all the righteous from Abel to Zechariah. Now the murder of Abel is recorded in Genesis 4 , and the murder of Zechariah in 2 Chronicles 24 which in the arrangement of the Hebrew canon was the last book in order (as Malachi is in our arrangement). So the Lord was saying, "From the first to the last murder recorded in the Old Testament." Now, of course, there were other murders of God's messengers recorded in the Apocrypha, but the Lord does not include them. Evidently He did not consider the books of the Apocrypha to be of equal authority with the books from Genesis to 2 Chronicles.

Beyond the Apocrypha, there were many other books that were considered false and were called the pseudepigrapha. These were spurious writings, especially writings falsely attributed to biblical characters or times. They included a number of texts written between 200 B.C. and A.D. 200 and spuriously ascribed to various prophets and kings of the Hebrew Scriptures.

Jewish and Christian writings that began to appear about 200 BC and continued to be written well into Christian times; they were attributed to great religious figures and authorities of the past. Pseudepigrapha were composed in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, and they include apocalyptic writings, legendary histories, psalms, and wisdom literature. In most cases, Pseudepigrapha are modeled on canonical books of a particular genre.
