Slaying the Demons in My Basement Part One
by Fleur inever since we moved into this place almost eight years ago, there have been demons in my basement.
no, not those kinds of demons.
not the smurf-controlling, videogame-inhabiting and musically-backmasked, legendarily-jw-feared sort of demons.

Wow, Es............some very very intense stuff here................I have to tell you that when I read the title of this thread, I thought of Iyanla Vanzant's book I read years ago...........lol.........that was shortly after I ended my marriage and exited the Borg............what a mess I was then..........and, it feels good to look back and see how far I've come and how much I've grown.............I am now, going to go back to your 2nd thread, part TWO and read that. I started to read it, then went in search of part ONE..............thanks for sharing, you incredibly brave, deep woman, you!

I found this quite interesting because it sounds like they are spinning it to imply that it is enough that the spoken and printed words are enough warning.....that the actual need to place the magazines with people to read isn't necessary.........sure takes the pressure off in the witness mind of placing magazines...........just my opinion...........
REPHRASE
p. 146, ¶16 replace sentences following quote of Revelation 9:10 with: What could this mean? As they go about their Kingdom work, Jehovah’s Witnesses, using the spoken word and printed publications, issue authoritive statements based on God’s Word. Their message has a scorpionlike sting because they warn of Jehovah’s approaching day of vengeance. (Isaiah 61:2) Before the present generation of spiritual locusts lives out its life span, its divinely ordained work of declaring Jehovah’s judgments will be completed—to the hurt of all stiff-necked blasphemers.
OLD: What could this mean? As they go about their Kingdom work, Jehovah’s Witnesses leave behind them publications—books, magazines, brochures, timely tracts. These contain authoritative statements, based on God’s Word, for the people to read in their homes, and they have a scorpionlike sting because they warn of Jehovah’s approaching day of vengeance. (Isaiah 61:2) Before the present generation of spiritual locusts lives out its life span, its divinely ordained work of declaring Jehovah’s judgments will be completed—to the hurt of all stiff-necked blasphemers.

Suffered a stupidity attack? Call 911!
Police dispatchers dumbfounded over idiotic ‘emergency’ calls
Updated: 5:08 p.m. ET Aug 8, 2006
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Only a third of 911 calls for help are actual emergencies, according to dispatchers who say some of the calls are simply wacky.
"People have called because they went through the drive-through and their order was wrong," said California Highway Patrol dispatcher Dennis Kirchner. "People call because they're lost."
There are so many ridiculous calls, dispatchers don't recall many of the details. One, for instance, was a report of a tumbleweed across a highway.
"It's hard to remember the standouts because there's so many stupid things we get," Kirchner said.
Terri Minogue, a senior dispatcher at the Santa Cruz Consolidated Emergency Communications Center, remembers a 911 call from a man who said there were two dead bodies in a car.
Minogue had dispatched sheriff's deputies to the Highway 1 location before realizing the call was a sham. The caller went on to describe a vampire with fangs reaching down from the top of the car.
"He sounded so straight-up before he started talking about the vampires," Minogue said.
Still, emergency dispatchers have to treat every call like an emergency.
"When people call in we will document it, unless it's outrageously stupid," Kirchner said.
Outrageously stupid calls include people who have lost their cars at the mall, misplaced their keys, are stuck in traffic and want to know what's wrong or can't get their baby to stop crying. © 2006 The Associated Press. for the DF'd: did you confess or were you ratted out?
by kid-A inlooking back at the 10 or so cases of disfellowshipping i recall, i think only 1 was due to the orwellian borg spy system.
he was ratted out.. all the other cases were actually "confessions" by people that otherwise would have gotten away with it.
i am wondering is these percentages.
