IMALL............LOL! Well, that explains alot! My "official" title is Transportation Assistant at the Board of Education in town. My coworker and I make sure all the kids get to and from school safely, and, we take care of travel arrangements like field trips to the local library, etc. It's the most boring job I've EVER had, but the highest PAID one, with great benefits, and a union. I do post at work, since alot of time is down time. I am concerned that in the near future, when they redo the budget that our office will once again be scrutinized heavily for cuts.

Well I Just Got Let Go! :(
by Yizuman inas of this morning at 6 am est, my boss came in to the store where i worked and told me that since "business was slow", he had no choice but to let me go.. .
i asked him why did he hire that new employee last week if business was slow??
he just looked at the counter and would not answer me.

Yiz, I am soooo sorry to hear about this, but, while I was reading your description of this man's business practices, I got the impression/feeling that it won't be much longer before he goes under. You cannot run a business and not be totally involved in everything, at least at first. I know this may be cold comfort now, but, I think he may have done you a HUGE favor by letting you go.........take the opportunity and run with it! You are an extremely strong, focused, honest person, and believe me those strengths and attributes will not go unpunished. You should feel proud how you've worked so hard to pay your way. Some people would have not bothered to pay back debt. I had a girlfriend in this situation and within a short time, she got an even better paying job, in a much higher scale restaurant......she's a waitress and was working for a low to midrange pizza place in a mall. Now she works at one of the oldest, classier restaurants in town. It's a beautiful old pub, with dining areas also......she'll do very well monetarily there, and what is more important she is vindicated for her stand and for her strong moral ideals. I don't know too much about discrimination, but it sure sounds like you have a very good case........I'm sure you'll get lots of great advice and support here~hang in there, I'll be sending lots of good energy your way! I, also, would be willing to help out financially.........every little bit helps! Let us know! That's what friends are for!!!

What if you were attracted to Mighty Mouse??????????????? Seriously! I was in love with MM and he brought out very sexual feelings in me! And, that opens a whole 'nother can of worms.........maybe another thread..............how many people here had "sexual" feelings at a young age? I've never read anything on child sexuality........is there even literature out there?

Bradley..........lol! I'm going to be supportive in your thread here, i.e. we won't be at opposite ends for once!
I've been with both types of men............my present boyfriend is gorgeous. He's 43, but he has an absolutely gorgeous body. I, however am not in good shape. I will now enter the "psychological zone" here............LOL..........it's not about shape, it's not about looks. it's about acceptance; learning how to look at the inner person, instead of concentrating on outer looks. I do feel that you need to be aware of your body in health terms tho. When I was younger, I walked every day, and worked out at a gym every other. I dieted. I felt PHYSICALLY great. However, my emotional and spiritual parts were absolutely in the toilet. I know with an extremely intelligent young man, I don't need to go any further with that. So, there's my answer.

i was watching a television show last week about a very interesting triple liver transplantation involving "live donors".

Hi Xena! Yes, I'm into "recycling"! LOL! Hey, I want to be cremated anyways when I go, and why shouldn't I give so others may live? So, I just renewed my driver's license and I again listed myself as an organ donor...........I think it's a good thing.......and one of the things that made me really consider it was that a friend of mine, a Dub, was an R.N. and she had herself listed as a donor. It put the last slight hesitation to rest for me..........oh, yeah, you asked about the live donation..........hmmm, I would, in a very special circumstance.......like family or a wonderful close friend.............

Are you *really* into something?
by DanTheMan ingetting to know various personalities on this board, i get to feeling that a missing component in my life is to get *really* into something.. for instance, the board has our resident intellectuals and political debaters.
i am in awe of the broad scope of knowledge and seemingly instant recall of obscure facts that many on this board seem to have.
i consider myself to be fairly intelligent, but i am light years from being a true intellectual.
