Im feeling so confused right now. I guess I am looking at belonging to something where people believe like I do. My hubby doesn't believe in God and doesn't even like taljing about religion. Ever since my fit I have felt like God is calling me. I always used to be terrified of death; but since the fit I have been more relaxed about it. Im even looking at arranging my funeral. I hope y'all dont think im mad/crazy I just don't really know what is going on right now.

Hi y'all
I have been away for a while but im back.
Ihaven't been baptized as a Jw yet, but I am feeling a strong pull towards them, and I don't know why.
I had a seizure (fit) l ast week my first in years (I am an epileptic) I knocked myself out for several hours. Every since then I have felt confused and all I can think about it death, is it my time, is God calling me?? I have always been terrified of death but since my fit I am calm about it, and even planning my funeral. I don't really feel like me, but all I can think of is I must become a jw. I guess tgey make me feel safe??Can ananyone tell me more of these inner circle rules that I can and cannot do after being baptized. And is baptism an easy thing to get done??Also I
is there anyone from minneapolis / minnesota out there? ? X

what are the JW rules once baptised??
by Kate82 inon my other post 'thinking of becoming a jw' people mentioned that once i was baptised i would be told / given rules of what i can / cant do, things like: how i act, dress, how i can have sex with my husband??
what i can and cant eat ( according to some research ive done).
i would be really interested to hear as many of these rules now - as i think its too late after one is baptised.. i would be grateful of as many as possible about anything any topic even thouse i havent mentioned.. thanks x.

So what can i expect. Just being love bomed or would they ask me about myself, my life etc.
Would they be pressuring me into "becoming one of the family".
Or would it be an intese bible study???
Please remember this would only be my first "meeting" as before i have just taken the literature they have offered, not really entered into conversation with them.
Would they not ease me in gently??
Punkofnice - have pm'd u x

Hiya
I am still reading everything and cant believe what ive got myself into.
I am ashamed to say i have let them talk me into a "meeting". Again i was silly enough to open the door and surprise surprise it was my 'friendly jws'.
They said they could talk to me there and then but i panicked and said my house was rather untidy at the moment and i be embarressed by the mess. They took that rather well, but then they said i should go to there house (tonight) for a "chat" i didnt want to offend so i found myself agreeing.
I now am panicing (sp??) As i dont know what to expect. Please help me.
And please dont give up on me x

Just in previous posts and research it said if a man and woman came together, and i asked the woman to teach me wiyh a "brother" present she has to show respect to him.
I wasnt sure if i had to aswell. Maybe i picked it up wrong?? I dont mean to offend, im just not sure of how the respect thing works. And i never like to be rudeor disrespectful to people. Maybe im too soft??

Thanks again for all your messages and comments. I am gradually making my way through them all.
I saw my Doctor this morning and have decided to go ahead with the cognitive behaviour threapy. I have an appointment with a councellor on tuesday to get admitted through her. I am also continuing with my anti depressants.
I had another visit from my local JW's this afternoon. I didnt open the door this time. But when i went downstairs to get the mail had a copy of the awake and watchtower magazines. Written on one of the magazines was this "here are a couple of magazines for you, we'll get a bible for you too kind regards kerri and Brian and a phone number"
I am a little confused about some things, i woild be grateful of any advice.
Normally its 2 ladies that come not a Gentleman and a lady. Why would this now change?? Also if they intended on giving me a bible why did they not leave that at the same time?? As for not answering the door the reason i didnt was, once i saw a gentleman i panicked and thought i have nothing to cover my head wiyh - as a mark of respect. Am i right in thinking that i must cover my head if a gentleman is present?? I wouldnt even know where to get a headscarf??
Lastly, with the number are they asking me to call them when im availabe so they can come back??
P.s - i am in the uk.
