  i read crisis on the conscience and i am about to start, "who wrote the bible?

  does anyone have a list or great books to read for anyone searching for the real truth?

  i've only ever seen the world through a jw lens and i am excited to see what other view points are out there!

  Hi there and welcome.

  In regards to the child abuse thing. I live in Australia, full JW family and I work with JWs.

  These people are conditioned to take ANY criticism of their religion extremely seriously.

  If it is the government doing the denouncing, and worldly media reporting it......... there is an abundance of room for Satan the Devil to get involved, in the mind of a JW.

  It is the truth after all, and Gods Organisation, and the best way of life, and where else would you go?, and the end is so close.........

  Probably because of my childish ways, I do enjoy reading Sam Harris.

  The Koran might be worth a look, quite a few million people are finding refreshing truths therein.

  just want to mention that i just posted my 1000th post on here somewhere a few minutes ago.

  i joined back in 2009 and was a mostly a lurker for years and asking occasional questions and occasional statements.

  but after a few months of those broadcasts the ''floodgates'' have opened.

  since the overlapping generations doctrine was introduced, i have found the jws i know to be uncharacteristically silent on the subject.

  i can't remember hearing a single dub try to defend this idiocy.

  Look at Splane's face when he speaks, and as he explains this generation filth.

  He knows the JWs are eating all his words like warm, fresh shit from a spoon, and he loves the idea!

  Compare Splane's demeanour to that of Herd's recently, when he was trying to put a positive spin on reducing world wide work. Sammy was having are hard time feeding the masses something that had obviously come straight from someone's anus. He could barely stomach the shit himself.....
