  Why is the Bible silent about the real Israel/Egyptian connections?

  the bible does connect egypt and israel (including judah), but does not tell the truth about the connection.. an exhibition at the israel museum tells a clearer story.. it tells of two periods of connection;.

  the first connection around 1800 to 1550 bce when canaanites settled in the eastern section of the nile river delta.

  it seems this is the era that saw the development of stories like the joseph story and the mose's story.

  where, exactly, does the bible say that government(s) will turn on religion?

  i mean, other than interpreting some crazy visions/dreams from revelation as such?.

  with one megalomaniac leading the gop race for nomination to vie for president of the usa, i've noticed that paranoia has ratcheted up a notch or three.

  (may take you a sec to get the real acronyms that are being used).

  well i've noticed a pattern where a lot of ostentatious peoples that talk about their tough ass tax troubles only relate it to it as a problem that's being perpetrated by the federal & democratic states.

  Actively Fading and The Memorial

  those of you fading- with the memorial approaching are you going to appease family?

  fading for 8 years and never missed a memorial due to the family relation reason.
  

  Ouch.

  I won't be attending for the 3rd consecutive year.

  My absence comes at a price though, my JW family treat me like a corpse.

  i was just reading through some posts and had a startling realization.. the comment that sparked this went something like this: why oh why when i started into this in 1989 did i not research the history of the wtbts?

  etc....... i too was studying and moving towards baptism around that same time.

  i got dunked in dec of 1990.. my thought.

  I don't believe there has been any growth in developed countries like Australia, Britian and the U.S. in the last 10 years. Whatever growth has been reported by the WTS is just numbers propaganda for the rank and file, it isn't the 'truth'.

  i never thought i would admit it, but i don't.

  i might superstitiously have some kind of doubt but digging a bit deeper in my heart i really don't believe in god.

  as a human i could never just sit and watch people be tortured, live years of abuse, suffer from illness and disabilities and all the other awful things people have to endure day after day without doing something about it.

  It's just that, it feels exactly the same as if he didn't really exist at all and doesn't give a shit about anyone or anything. Right. Got it.
