  i am not going to delve into the opinions and information provided by the good folks on this forum on matters of health and science in another post.

  instead i want to make clear that the wtbts provided a fountain of information on this subject.

  the european court of human rights ruled against an austrian woman who claimed calling the prophet muhammad a pedophile was protected by free speech.

  ... the woman in 2009 held two seminars entitled "basic information on islam," during which she likened muhammad's marriage to a six-year-old girl, aisha, to pedophilia.. the marriage according to islamic tradition was consummated when aisha was nine and muhammad was around 50. aisha was the daughter of muhammad's best friend and the first caliph, abu bakr.. the court cited the austrian women stating during the seminar that muhammad "liked to do it with children" and "... a 56-year-old and a six-year-old?

  ... what do we call it, if it is not pedophilia?".

  I caught news from Germany last night. 8 men arrested for gang rape of German woman and the news readers (female..!) discussed this crime doing their best to play it down...
  

  The media in Europe refuses to call anything an Islamic problem, the same way the media in Australia refuses to mention the Chinese when reporting on the hoards of people stripping baby formula from the supermarket shelves. It’s not fucking racism, it’s called being honest.

  since most people in this group have been taught how to research and fact check with our jw history and getting out, this is a topic that can be constructive to check out.

  i stumbled upon this and spent some time researching it, and it's quite interesting.

  Gross medical negligence isn’t just a legal construct.... I’m not painting all doctors with the same brush but just because you’re being seen by a professional doesn’t mean it’s the best medical care possible.

  Lawyers usually seek the opinions of other highly regarded medical professionals in legal situations, it is usually the opinions of other doctors weighing the balcance of probabilities that decides the degree of negligence.

  I’m not bashing the doctors, I agree the vast majority are good people doing their best. I also get annoyed at medical quackery threads. Eat well, plenty of fruit and veges and regular, vigorous excercise is the best medicine.

  JeffT, I would agree.

  Some people however have experienced legitimate medical negligence, life changing or even ending. If that’s happened to you or someone very close, it leaves a psychological scar that makes trust very difficult.

  I was just in France a few weeks ago. Saw a few Muslim women wearing medical face masks, apparently trying to get around the law. Of course, their husbands wore normal clothing.

  this is such an important issue, more and more people are succumbing to what must be some viral outbreak wreaking havoc in the world.. i'm talking about unnecessary punctuation.. it's easy to become infected.

  you want to write something and add some emphasis so you add an exclamation mark to make it "important!

  I’ve gotta say, out of all the forums I frequent this place has a pretty good standard of gramma, not sure if that’s a reflection of the forums I visit or the standard of the frothing, bitter apostates here. Some of the atrocities that I encounter else where, it’s a freaking poopie convention. (Shout out to poopie).

  I’m no grammar nazi, actually rate myself very poorly but I’ll always make an effort. I smell terrible and have bad teeth, if I offend your grammatical senses your getting off lightly.

  Who gives a fuck about an Oxford comma? I’ve seen those English dramas too, they’re cruel. So if there’s any other way to spell the word, it’s fine with me.

  Why would you speak to me that way? Especially when I always said that I haven’t got the words for you. All your diction dripping with disdain, through the pain, I always tell the truth.
