I’m not surprised that dick has now sanctioned corruption. He was kind of already doing it, now it’s just obvious.

For those Genuinely Concerned about Press Freedom
by Simon inour illustrious leader, justin trudeau, has just announced a half a $billion fund that will be given out to "trustworthy" news sources.. of course this will have nothing todo with the fact that there will be a federal election next year and there are plenty of bad things to highlight in the liberals record.
they will obviously dole the money out in a totally impartial manner, even handing funding to reporters that are critical of them and trudeau.
"trustworthy" news sources won't just be a euphemism for "writes positive stories about me, avoids negative ones".

It's My Birthday Today
by pale.emperor intoday is my 34th birthday.
or, my 3rd birthday that i've actually acknowledged seeing as i was raised in the cult.. i woke up this morning to my 4yo running into my room and wishing me a "happy birthday daddy!".
i got a card from my ex-jw brother and i bought myself a birthday gift - a new 50mm lens for my nikon camera (photography is a hobby i took up since leaving the cult).. i dont know about you guys, but birthdays is still something i have to make a conscious effort to acknowledge and enjoy.

Tag teams of Cart Sitters
by days of future passed inone sunday, we took our dad out for lunch.
since it didn't open till 12:00, we were going to have to kill time.
this restaurant is situated with other businesses around a small park and when we parked, we noticed there was a cart to the right in the park.

There is no doubt the JWs love this new way of ''preaching'' What is better than sitting in the park on a nice summer day, texting or viewing things on your phone or tablet, and chatting to your partner about anything. If anyone does come up to you, all you need to do is hand them some free literature and point to jwdotorg
I’ve heard it from a JW who does it. Seems it’s all about getting a nice park somewhere, nice views of the ocean or river, and relaxing on a seat. They virtually brag about not having to talk to anyone.
It’s an urgent message.

Not commenting on the WT, but best if you find whole cannabis that has high CBD content. CBD is tremendous, but the research suggests that whole plant is more effective medicine than extracts. Stacked with other cannabinoids like CBG and added medical value of terpenes, although still not fully understood it does seem the best way to go.

After watching A&E Leah Remini on Jehovah Witnesses I am going to stop hiding behind my Avatar
by Still Totally ADD injust got done watching this program and what impress me the most was the bravery of those x-witnesses to sit there on national tv and tell everyone how the wt.
cult affected them.
no hidden faces, no avatar names and no disguise.

Door-to-door preaching as surveillance
by john.prestor ini wanted to share some thoughts about jehovah's witnesses and their door-to-door preaching.
door-to-door preaching is supposedly about gathering converts, but in fact, as we frequently discuss, doesn't actually bring that many "sheep-like ones" in.
i want to suggest that a second meaning (what we call the latent meaning in academia) is facilitating surveillance of the congregants who attend some congregation.
