  My Mom's Challenge to Me

  so my jw mom messages me on facebook last night and says she wants me, for a month, to read the bible, but first pray using the name jehovah and in jesus name and then read it with an open mind.

  she is so ridiculous!

  first of all, i do pray but i usually just say father and i always pray in jesus name and i find it ironic that she is saying i should have an open mind when hers is closed.

  its been a minute since posting, have been trying to put this cult in my review mirror and just live life.

  but you know this beast rears it's evil head.

  my wife found my crisis of conscience book and out came the horns plus i guess what she is hearing at the meetings isn't helping either.

  “from what my wife is saying, she believes governments will turn on the witness and that will be the sign that the org will have the sheeple get there go bags and go.

  Yep. This is the start of “the great tribulation”.

  The JWs believe when the governments interfere with their worship, it’s as if Jehovah’s eyes are poked....he gets really pissed off and kills everyone (Armageddon).

  One aspect of the Bible I still greatly benefit from

  though many things in the bible do not make sense to me, there is something in it that makes my life easy.. this is how i arrived at it.

  bible defines god as the servant of his children because he makes provisions for the enjoyment of life in abundance (mathew 5:44-47) and ‘renews’ them if need arises (mathew 19:28) with no intervention whatsoever in between which means he is not interested in gratitude/worship from his children.

  yet history shows that people forget him in happiness and remember him only in distress which means he is not given love (though he is the giver of love), and he is not bothered of it.

  He did his thing, just as usual. The amount of rubbish Trump has talked over the years has now left his words meaningless.

  It doesn’t matter what he says, he often does the opposite... could you imagine if Trump actually did everything he said....

  Trump has been in the entertainment industry for years now, a very long time, and he’s doing a tremendous job. He’s a great guy, people respect him because he’s wonderful.

  EU Court Ruling Against WT on Data-Protection

  today's london times reports on the july ruling of the eu court that forces the organisation country to comply with data protection.. the action originated in finland but the ruling will affect every eu country.

  the cult tried unsuccessfully to argue that the notes taken by jws in the door-to-door work were personal and not accessed by the congregation.

  the court ruled that they are acting under the auspices of the congregation and therefore they must comply with data-protection laws.. keeping lists of do-not-calls also falls under this ruling.. why does the cult always feel that it is above the law?.

  Is attendance down in your location too?

  i was commenting on another thread about how local kh attendance is down.

  memorial attendance was also way down and the circuit assembly had hundreds less people than what is typical.

  my jw family has even mentioned it.

  In Australia, I’d say about 20% of the current JW population will be dead within 10-15 years, that will see attendances down.

  Unfortunately I know of at least 2 elderly JWs who will probably leave estates worth millions of dollars to the WTS when they die.
