  in the real world, very few parents would disown their own children simply because they read a magazine that told them to do it.

  But there is no salvation outside the organisation which is led by the governing body. You’re missing that point..it’s a requirement for salvation. Faith in Jesus sure, that’s on the list, however according to JW doctrine it’s not enough. You need to do the JW activities, obey the slave.

  The organisation is essential to salvation, as is a JWs individual obedience to the slave, participation in the slave dictated activities is essential, as is also Jesus sacrifice.

  But they still attribute salvation to Christ. The issue here isn't their view of themselves as the one true religion, but it is to whom do they attribute salvation. In their theology that's Jesus, and only Jesus. The two issues are not the same

  There is no truth besides what the Governing body teaches. Salvation depends on being obedient to the FDS. The organisation is like the ark, required for our salvation.
