  i'm a member on jw talk (until now at least) and have been regularly checking up on their thread regarding the annual meeting.

  there hasn't been a great deal to report on except for this recent post that has been made.

  i may get outed but that's no loss.

  I believe some transparency about their records would reveal they have encouraged a child abuse problem to flourish by appointing accused men to positions of authority. They’ve had elders, no doubt they’ve had CO’s and bethel heavies that got promotions despite some sick history.

  I wasn’t being deliberately crass that’s just how it is, philosophical and religious bullshit aside, living things require feeding and the ability to reproduce.

  It’s not like humans are particularly brutal or murderous in the modern age. As a species we are actually getting better. Meanwhile our closest relatives like the chimps and orangutans rip each other apart, and eat the victims, raping innocent amphibious animals. Gods wonderful creations.

  in the real world, very few parents would disown their own children simply because they read a magazine that told them to do it.

  very few people would forever completely ignore their own parents because an elder got up on a platform one day and announced that they no longer follow the same religion as you.. in the real world it just doesn't happen.

  and yet, for 8 million jehovah's witnesses it's very a normal part of their world to treat "other people" differently than they'd treat each other.

  But the psychological tactics used to induce people to shun are precisely the same as those used to induce people to accept genocide.

  Precisely. This is well documented about cult members. Many cults walk a very thin line between harmless and extremely damaging due to this level of psychological control.

  But there is no salvation outside the organisation which is led by the governing body. You’re missing that point..it’s a requirement for salvation. Faith in Jesus sure, that’s on the list, however according to JW doctrine it’s not enough. You need to do the JW activities, obey the slave.

  Does the great crowds salvation depend on their close association with the anointed?

  JWs themselves believe in the organisation holds salvation concept.

  I just think your wrong on this despite how awesome you are otherwise.

  The organisation is essential to salvation, as is a JWs individual obedience to the slave, participation in the slave dictated activities is essential, as is also Jesus sacrifice.

  I don’t feel the need to provide quotes, this is the religion.

  Have ever been a witness? You would be disfellowshiped for apostasy with your attitude.
