  well these goof balls at jwbroadcast apparently think the study of pure science means not having any "practical application".

  oi vey.

  sanderson may speak russian but he is so ill educated he appears to think that researching a subject and formulating a theory about it means that's the end of it - in other words he's saying it has no practical use.

  i’m no longer associated with the religion but i am not so pro university.

  it’s not because i think you are better off without a degree.

  Higher education is beyond some people for many reasons, working hard we can all do and only good comes from it.

  Ford versus Ferrari

  so after the unqualified success of my last review ( green book ) l thought that l would try again .

  l went to see ford versus ferrari / le mans 66 according to where you live .

  now l am no petrol head and talk of motor racing usually makes my eyes glaze over but this film is about much more than laps on a circuit .

  Spoiler alert.

  Ken Miles was a legend and the GT40 he helped build also. That circuit Le Mans in France is a ridiculously fast track, and even faster in the old days before they divided the long straight into three sections with two chicanes. Just white knuckle shit in those old cars.

  I don’t think they know for certain what went wrong in the accident that killed him, but those who new him say it wouldn’t been have been driver error. His shocking death got Ford into developing driver safety technology in race cars that made it vastly safer for those who followed.

  No Need To Preach In Every Country Anymore

  speaking to a pimo from my hometown yesterday.

  he told me that in the watchtower study (10 nov 2019) regarding “the great tribulation” the elder on the platform said that there’s no need for jws to preach in every country in order to fulfil the prophecy, and therefore the org has already fulfilled that prophecy.

  and that there’s nothing else left to wait for now but for “the great tribulation” to come.. gasps of delight came from the audience.. has anyone else heard this?

  Almost 20yrs ago, a young bloke from the job site I was working on, heaving with JWs, was wrangled into attending a JW convention. I asked him what he thought of it, I’ll never forget his response.

  “What was with all that, ‘the internet is the devil’ shit? And how come you’re not allowed to flog off?”

  Flogging off = masturbating. I’m not sure if that’s an Aussie thing but anyway, this bloke was having none of it, probably enjoyed a flog while viewing the internet, like many Jws would I’m guessing.

  Do You Think Veterans Are Treated Fairly?

  i don’t think many people truly appreciate what veterans have done for their country.

  i believe they should be given the best health care over any other group.

  members of congress have phenomenal health care.

  Not all serve in the same capacity and obviously some service comes at a great cost. It takes an army of people to keep only a few fighting, those who take the ultimate risk will virtually never be the same and should be looked after. Lots of service people in the military, probably the majority, will never have to face a man in anger or put themselves in the line of fire. For some it’s a job that offers security and opportunity where there exits little.

  I feel for those who have served and deserve much better, and generally speaking it seems Veterans form USA can get it pretty rough.

  The bible does not endorse infant baptism nor child baptism, but really the Bible does not endorse plenty of shit they’ve come up with.. so just dunk the babies while they’re still blue and call them dedicated servants of Jehovah. When they start Kindergarten, they can ramp up the pressure not to associate with the little worldly grubs and do any satanic activities, like the Xmas, Easter and that horrible mothers/fathers day stuff. The threat of divine judgement in the little ones eyes is would be so heartwarming for them.

  Why is Life Expectancy in the USA So Low Compared to Other Countries?

  i was looking at the world health org.

  report and it shows the us ranks 37th in the world (tied with albania) for combined male/female life expectancy.

  the top 5 were japan, switzerland, singapore, israel and spain, all around 83 years.

  US statistics are skewed by inner city ghettos and illegal immigrants. These people do not have healthy life styles and do not seek medical care appropriately. All this 'diversity' hammers our statistics. You are trying to make a political point but it falls apart when you look at internal numbers
  

  ..because the typical middle class white American is a vision of health, I doubt they would ever consume things like red meat and refined carbs in excess. In reality we see affluence comes with a host of potential health dangers

  They’ve got a regular spot in town thats very obscure, actually incredibly stupid given the urgency that’s apparently associated with their message. Very little foot traffic passes the area it’s mainly vehicles.

  It’s not so much witnessing nowadays just blending in with the general scenery, or sometimes even blatant hiding.

  i know bad cops exist in many cities.

  i know some cops who aren’t “bad” but do have an attitude.

  however, i prefer to have law and order as opposed to chaos.

  Generally speaking I don’t give shit about the police, I’ve met so many bad ones, mostly traffic cops though. Funnily enough, I’ve had my residency raided by the state drug squad and they were all quite courteous at my house.

  I was driving a sports car 15 or more years ago, got pulled up by a female cop who gets to my car window and says, “Daddy’s car is it?”... a disgracefully unprofessional way to address me I thought. My father was dead and I’d worked my arse off at manual labour in the hot Aussie sun for years to afford the car.
